What do you think is the most balanced and exciting map for a tournament? The most popular dust2, as you all know is advantaged towards the T's which is unfortunate and Nuke is the opposite of that in most cases. Maps like de_cpl_strike which were fast paced and had a great layout haven't taken off.

So here's a question to you now. Which do you think should be the map selected for a tournament finale which is both fun and balanced. Don't just post a new, back it up with an argument.

I think de_train is most exciting final map in tournaments. Never know whats going to happen.

Do some of you even read what I wrote about de_dust2? I said something that is balanced on both site. I also asked for a backup argument...

dust2 for sure. I think it's balanced for both sides.

mill, pretty good map, lots of possibilities, pretty well balanced in my opinion. may be wrong because i'm not a "pro" at cs but thats what i think. I think maps like d2, inferno or nuke are getting kind of old and overused.. i think cs 1.6 would be more exciting if more good maps were put into the mix while keeping staple maps like d2 of course, not saying those are bad.

inferno seems to be the map that trips up a lot of teams stratwise. Its fun to watch also

train and inferno! Both extremly tactical maps where u can win t side easily with good strats!

One of the most balanced maps but barely played is de_russka.Since almost the entire us scene switched to css, de_russka won t have any kind of future in the europeen 1.6 leagues or tournaments,which is pretty sad.As well de_esl_autmn has to be counted in,althought it s only played in the german esl.Back to the basic pool i agree on train and inferno althought train is a bit more ct sided

I think that...de_train, de_cpl_mill or de_inferno, are the best maps, because the others maps is more easy...

I think this maps, de_train, de_cpl_mill and de_inferno, are very difficult for two teams, T and CT...

i think the best and most balanced map is inferno, though i personally dont like it.
and mill is very nice too, but it`s life in competitive CS was not long T_T

de_inferno is without a doubt the most CT/T balanced map, its an exciting map that we all (I think) enjoy playing and watching matches on HLTV, the main victory condicion would be a good team strategy and combination, so its not so unbalanced like de_nuke.

ON TOPIC:
I really have no idea what map is 'perfectly' balanced.
In my opinion, every map is 'perfectly' balanced, should they've been played the right way.
And I guess new maps are not an option, because they eventually won't be played enough.

I like to play inferno on finals. dunno why, maybe cause im allways on final? =D

I like to play on de_inferno.....and I think it's balanced, you never know how is it going to end.
Another great map by my opinion is de_cpl_fire.....but the map is not played so much as the "standard" ones (de_dust2, de_nuke, de_train or de_inferno)....
