-freq / border problem

Asd.
Got a laptop,nvidia geforce 240gtM and a widescreen tft 22".
Recently bought a hdmi-dvi-cable,with hdmi connected to my laptop and the dvi part to the monitor. Well, main point was getting those black borders you have at CRTs,and hell yeah it worked. Sad thing now is that whenever I use -freq 75 in launch options, the borders are not on the left and right side but on top and bottom...borders work fine at 60hz. any idea? thx.

Set your monitor as primary display and turn off the laptop's display. After that everything should be fine

My monitor can run 75hz. I played with 75 before over VGA. My laptop monitor can only do 60 though, but as I said,I set my TFT monitor as primary and so I disabled the laptop ones. (its turned off)

yes i unterstand that but it was not clear that your tft can run with 75 hz ....

I have the same problem, except when I put -freq 75 there will be no black edges at all. It goes to "fullscreen".
