LuxBOTz LAN CSDM MOD

Hi everybody!

Just wanted to intruduce my newest version of my LAN CSDM Mod with LuxBOTz
18.09.2010: Version 4.5b

How to / Install:
(1a) Download the newest version
(2a) Extract the CStrike folder in the ZIP into YOUR Counter-Strike folder
(2b) Overwrite everything
(3a) Start Counter-Strike
(3b) Select "New Game"
(3c) Choose your map and click on "Start"
(4a) Open your CS 1.6 Console and type in one of the following lines:

"dm_info": Shows you all LXLDM SERVERCOMMANDS with description!

"dm_1": ULTRA LuxBOTz: My k/d-ratio = ~0.7
"dm_2": HIGHSKILLED LuxBOTz : My k/d-ratio = 1.1
"dm_3": AVERAGE LuxBOTz: My k/d-ratio > 1.5
"dm_4": LOW LuxBOTz : My k/d-ratio >>> 2.0

Features:
- LAN CS1.6 Deathmatch with extremely improved Bots (REAL PRO-LIKE AIM! Better CSDM movement!)
- FFA: Free For All (Everybody vs Everybody: REAL DEATHMATCH)
- 4 differnt skillconfigs
- Unlimited Ammo
- Shows a Headshot highscore at the end of the map
- Removed the 16.000$ limit
- Personalize your own individual dm_userconfig.cfg in your cstrike folder and change LXLDM how you want to
- HUD: Direct bullet damage display
- HUD: Streakcounter up till 100 Frags
- HUD: Spawnprotection display
- HUD: Weapon-Icon display
- Optional: Headshot only mode -> amx_hsonly "1" my_falldamage "0-100" "say /speed"
- Optional: Jumpfrags! Damage an enemy by jumping on him from high points
- Optional: Bullets trace lines of enemies
- Optional: NoRecoil Mode for LuxBOTz/users
- Several improvements of newest CSDM (2.1.2k), PodBot(V3B20a) and AMX Mod X (1.8.1) have been made (including FPS tweaks)
- Doubled the amount of CSDM Spawns (60% new Spawns!!!)
- Working previsualisations of all supported maps
- Working BOT pre-Spawnprotection v3.0. Not even a ultra bot with preshots can kill you
- About 150 botnames
- More then 50 supported maps
- Automatic detection of FFA/CSDM maps (cs_maps, de_maps) and non FFA maps (aim_maps, fy_maps)

Go to CSTRIKE / dm_userconfig.cfg

And change :

alias pb_count1 "alias pb_count pb_maxbots 11" // Maps with spawns.cfg (standard) df:11 (de_nuke)
alias pb_count2 "alias pb_count pb_maxbots 7" // Maps without spawn.cfg df:7 (cs_deathmatch)
alias pb_count3 "alias pb_count pb_maxbots 5" // Small Maps without spawn.cfg df:5 (de_erdnuss)

to whatever you want.

DO NOT ADD THE BOTS AFTER LOADING THE SKILL CONFIG FILES OR YOU GET BASIC PODBOTS AND NOT THE UPDATES LUXBOTZ.

I'll add a roundtime command in the next version in the dm_userconfig.cfg

For now:
After loading the skillconfig
just reopen your console and type in "mp_timelimit 0"

In early times people competed against each other - who got the most frags in 9 mins ;]

so there is my question: what is so cool in your "moidified" bots?

You obviously have never played with or against my bots.

VS the zbots with your settings I can play an 1on7 without a problem and win most of the rounds.

the zbot is somewhere around my DM_3 config what I call "middle skilled" - DM_2 is way harder and DM_1 is on a totally different level.

It s not only about reaction it is how the bots hit you... you know what - I'm gonna make a short YouTube clip: LuxBOTz vs zb0ts :]

 

Well running both bots at the same sadly it crashes as soon as the bots kill each other :/

 

In any case I see no sense in bots that will kill me more than I do them. It's extremely scecific fun.

Well you re supposed to get better by playing against them.

They are very well balanced...
If I haven't played a while I have like 0.9 ratio against the DM_2 bots. If I'm well-rehearsed I have like 1.1 ratio.

If the only way to make frags is to make them really fast an really sick - you start making frags really fast and really sick.
Then if you play a normal ladder game - you just got the feeling that you kill all your enemies before they even start reacting.

Well I guess I have to admit that the bots aren't for everyone. You still can have some fun with dm_3 and dm_4 configs but you probably won't get much better because the bots are as low as normale zbots and PODbots.
But If you have already a certain basic skill level you can then further improve you reflexes and your aiming.

I'm playing CounterStrike now for 10 years in all those years I always was at least in the top 10 of all german ladders - I used to play German Pro Series and so on... it's not like I don't know what I'm talking about...

And for the records: You don't have to like to bots. No one forces you to like them.
