Windows 7, cs 1.6, OpenGL and -freq 120 = Windowed mode?
Hi guys,
I've not played cs for years it seems but I fancied a quick game on it a little while back. My setup and config hasn't changed so I just set it all up as normal with a command line of "-noforcemparms - noforcemaccel -freq 120". Whenever I launched the game it opened in a window. This setting was set to Normal and I noticed if I turned OpenGL off the game would run at fullscreen - this ain't acceptable though!
There seems to be tons of topics on this but not of them seem to fix the problem. One was to install old drivers, I can't be doing that. And alot of the fixes were for gfx cards that weren't nVidia, I have a GeForce 8500 Gt.
BUT, I was just having a look around and I noticed when I took -freq 120 out of the line it worked fine and opened in fullscreen mode. Which is great but this shouldn't be happening surely? And why? Although I should be able to launch and play the game now it would be good to set the freq?
Cheers and thanks if anyone can help / shed some light on this!

you just have to set at your nvidia drivers the settings right. There is if i remember right some setting that "Full screen / aspect ratio" So there you have to force that it goes full screen. I can try to search when i go home that correct place where to find it.agree
maybe your monitor doesnt support 120 freq
if it does try putting this command -full
this allows it to run in fullscreen
if it does try putting this command -full
this allows it to run in fullscreen
