what do you think about the players in the past versus the players we have today?:

are they more skilled in the past?
and do today's players have less skill but more brains?

I'd say that today's players are more skilled because there is a load harsher competition amongst players (pro and amateur players), thus a greater need to get stronger than their opponents (training becomes more regular; strat-callers have to constantly find unexpected ways to take over their enemies, etc).
