I'm afraid to say it, but these guides will NOT help you. A player like frod has become good because he's played millions and MILLIONS of scrims. All his moves and attacks have become habits and instincts, which are impossible to teach. They are just hoping to earn a buck. I downloaded and read the original tao-cs book and was thoroughly unimpressed, its full of common sense information. I know people will still look for this guide because the idolize a good player in frod.

However, the best way to improve (aside from aim) is to watch demos, especially your own. Watch your demos, see what you did wrong and make a permanent mental note on how you can avoid making that same mistake. It will take lots of scrims to burn this knowledge into your brain, but in the end it will become habits and you won't have to think about playing intelligently.

it took a long time for the tao-cs to get leaked, so im guessing this frod one will take a lot of time as well.

I agree with mech, it comes down to personal experiences and judgement. However, we all know that trod looked through every guide out there even vildens so aap guide to get prozor.

Jokes ofcourse. This book thing will only be a revision of common sense which will apply to all games like a generalisation like "don't die". Or it could be something good to read for bedtime. Let me know........

@MecH- you are right, but the true purpose of this guide and TAO-CS is to teach us not to make their mistakes. I mean the mistakes of fRoD, the mistakes of TAO-CS authors and so on. It's good to see and after time learn some tricks from fRoD and other top players. I don't want to say to all of you that it's not important to record and watch your own demos. It's very important to see your mistakes and to improve yourself. The most important thing in CS is intelligence. Intelligence is gained only from reading guides, watching demos and experience ;)
