Well.. it depends a lot, G5 for me.. is more confortable, and in the new version of G5 have 2 buttons like the mx 518, but g5 is laser, and laser have some problems, like u cant play with low dpi cuz if u do a fast movement ur crosshair or wateve ll get crazy.

Well, my answer is G5. I have had mx518, but its nothing compared to g5. G5 has better laser, dpi and Hz than mx. Also you can adjust the waight. I recommend!
