There is absolutely no difference between protocol 48 and protocol 47.. except for the silent run thing which is useless to people who know how to do it legit. I think it was mainly done to curb the piracy valve was facing due to heavy usage of non-steam versions. Now if everyone switches to protocol version 48 people not using steam will have to buy steam to play on 48 version, although valve is so naive to understand that switching protocols can be done for non-steam, has been successfully done and shared widely on the internet. All this has caused, is a hindrance to the gaming community as previous demos cannot be viewed using viewdemo command and we have to go through the process of switching versions :@ ././ DAMN ULTIMATELY A USELESS UPDATE!!
They could have just created a patch in the same protocol and could have been done with it!
At least i expected more from the update ... way way more!

I still use 47p, @ 48 u can do dduck , but it doesn't work , enemy hears you, like u are runing. And who sad , that u cant cheat @ 48p , its bullshit XD
