hey guys, its not my first time writing a thread about my resolution, I want to make this short, please help! thank you

I use 1024x768 normally, but I want to play with 800x600, then when I try to change my resolution to 800x600 i get this bad quality, like when you use glasses (without needing it), everything becomes so unclear and such, so I wonder, how to fix this?

Well just get used to it, took me some time too when i changed res. like 2 years ago. OR it has something to do with your drivers, dunno.

get used to it, try with 640 and when you will haveto set 800 again to avoid damaging your eyes you will see it like if it was 1600 hahaha

Ehm... the graphics get lousier the lower resolution you play on so... I think you just have to get used to it in that case. BUT if there's really something really wrong, check that you have opengl chosen in options -> video, and check your drivers. If nothing helps, the problem is in you :)

ive got all correct, but no, it is not in me, my friends got exellent graphic in 800x600.. ive tried to reinstall my graphic cards but nothing..

how come you have something like 70 fps in the 1024x768 and 100 in 800x600? Are u 100 % sure that you have opengl in video options? ;) Sometimes the mode changes when changing resolution.

ive done everything u are sayin, but when i try to change my resolution to 800x600 in my monitor, in the desktop, I still get this bad quality, so it is not just in cs.. and when i try to change it in my driver settings (ATI) it sais that 17' is for 1024x768 and 15' is for 800x600, and i got 17' :S:S monitor problem?

if you've always played with a high reso and changed it to a smaller one you are used to have the best quality so yes you must get used to it first

looks like your using an fps config in 800, check gl_max_size gl_picmip and gl_spriteblend arent in your autoexec

it did that banks, but it runs in a small mode, I can see my desktop icons in the background

yes but if uve followed the forum.. u see that the graphic in 800600 is ok, but its not clear.. the clearness is fuckd, like usin glasses, u kno..

raise your refresh rate would be the best thing. are you on LCD or CRT?

raising refresh rate doesn't affect quality...you have to set in drivers texture prefernce and mipmap detail level to high quality..
