Monitor. LCD ?

Ok, so I'm been looking at those videos at Rakaka.se showcasing the tournament that was going on at Skeå in Sweden, but now i wonder, what is the fps / hertz a player can get on those flat-screen monitors ?

I've read that pro-players often use screens with 120+ hertz , which naturally can give the same response of Frames Per Second, so yeah.. The information I got on the Asus p191 monitors that SK used at Dreamhack is that they run a maximum of 75 hertz ? thats 75Fps. And theres a huge difference between 120+ fps and 70-75 ..

Does anyone know how this is made ? or are those monitors better at lower resolution ? If not, does anyone know of an LCD monitor which can run 100 + fps ?

Thanks in advance!

venezuela ?

sorry 4 that post,

just try to get used with both monitors and i guess lcd can show 75 as max, but it not work with refresh rate, is called time response (ms)

srry4 my bad english

The old CRT Monitors could handle 120+ hertz, But all LCDs can run at a maximum of 75.
In counter-strike, the maximum fps is 100 ( there's developer 1 for more, but that's bullcrap :P ).
If you use V-sync, you will have the fps in CS as the refresh rate of your monitor, so in the LCD's
case - 75 fps. There's NO difference for the human eye between 100 and 75 fps. So you can play on it, but you can simply turn the V-sync off and play with 100 fps :)

dont think there are any lcd monitors that can do 100hz yet, there are alot of lcd tv's though that can, so i shouldn't think it'll be long till you can get a lcd monitor that can. Anyway lcd hertz are as big a factor as it is on a crt, it's more about response times.
