Actually I have the Steelseries 5H V2 USB but i don't know if is better to play with their sound card or my on board.

I agree with zakeN: It depends of your soundcard xD

I'd go without the USB soundcard

(a) for older games onboard sound is good enough
(b) onboard cards are pretty good nowadays (HD Audio)
(c) games where onboard sound fails those simple USB dongles won't do anything better

If you are unsatisfied with your onboard sound you should get an internal soundcard or go for a USB Sound Blaster X-Fi Go!

ofcourse there are other better external soundcards too
