there are two really good monitors out there. and these are the Samsung 2233rz and the viewsonic VX2265wm. but you should rather buy samsung. they both are 3d (!!) monitors and have true 120 hz and are maybe the only two right now who have it. just really nice for gaming. the price is something above 300 € though.
so in your place i would buy the samsung and if you dont have the money, then wait until they are cheaper. i really wouldnt buy any other monitor right now, better wait. (i myself use a samsung samtron 8ms now.)

about acer monitors, don't buy them. because they dont use their own screens, so the quality is not good.
