There is one thing i cant get about bristleback. I watched MYM vs eMg and in late game - the fight for the second upper tower he went on attacking into the whole team and eMg were just backing off. Later on MYM went on destroying the last tower up and maelk made doublekill and almost got PotM and he was under 1000 hp all the time. Then they went ot to destroy the tower in the mid.
So my point and question is - why is Bristleback so strong in late, and in the whole game as well?

Simply because he just doesn't die :D.

Damage incoming: 40% reduced from rear, 20% from sides is alot. It makes him almost impossible to kill early game. Most of the time he'll have his back or side towards you, unless he starts hunting you then you'll be the one running. And going 1on1 against bristle without a disabler is pointless.

Now what makes him imba. First of all he has quill spray, it looks very weak but it adds up and works the same way as radiance. Basicly you're facing a hero that's hard to kill with radiance abilities. Don't forget an EXTRA quill gets sprayed out if you attack him with +200dmg.
80 direct damage. 30 stacking damage. If you spray for example 4 times : 4x80 + 3x30 (could be 4x30 too don't know exactly how it works) which you all know bristle can spray out really fast makes 410dmg in what...like 10s?

Warpath & Viscous Nasal Goo make him one of the best chasers as well. Most of the time you'll find bristle farm in the bushes unless they need a gank. Mid-End game is where he comes out and dominates all :D.

Well! -chsn- has opened the theme at all) I just want to add that in CW games teams always have such kind of hero! it can be BB, Spectre, TB or other! Realy difficult to play against that late heroes. telling the truth watching lots of games U`ll see that teams pay less attention to tanks and late heroes to gang them. sP[Palit] vs TPD at mympride8 was such game! Farmed TB can kill everyone accept bristle! Imba. Also want to add that it was 6.48b Dota! And in 6.49 IceFrog reduced Bristleback's strength growth from 2.7 to 2.2. That notice what is happening in the world of DotA!

I also think Bristle realy needed the str growth reduction, he is an insanely strong hero :D

Personally I think they should start banning Bristle from tournaments again -.-
Partly because he's still imbalanced, but also because he makes DotA alot more boring to watch as well as play when he's in the game T_T

I was watching most games of Pride9 qualifiers and playoffs. In most of the games in which Bristleback was involved the team using him was victorious : /.
Sure he can be vetoed, but the imbalance is quite obvious.

I wanna marry Bristle's Viscous Nasal Goo, can I, plz? That slow makes me totally on. The best with Viscous Nasal Goo is the stacking ability. With his quill spray and ulti = Ms increase u cant run away. I love playing bristle with S&Y + Shivas, anyone else in mind of trying this build? :P

You need a slow and a stun for bristel. Ideally Traxes and Nerubian Assasin, He is purely a support hero/tank..

Reason why BB is so damn strong is because of his free radiance skill, free vangaurd skill and free PT skill. Also his imba slow and invincibility.

But what? BB once helped Loda(or we can say,loda helped BB)defeat MYM in a perfect way,in which game he just reached BEYOND GODLIKE!
BB is being balanced,and all before that he has to stay IMBA. :D

Bristleback does not die yes,but then again he is a Gay hero :/ things dont work out with him when you fight him,simply use necrolyte and brislte =GG in a couple seconds...

I remember Bristleback 37b (and earlier), it was bug i think, not a imba at all.

read the ability info for BB and then look at the common item builds players use on him then go figure why he's so hard to kill and a late game powerhouse

BristleBack is one of the strongest tanker in dota and one of the boring heros to use ate early game,Bristle got hp movement and attack speed and most of tankers doesn't have that,building some hp stuff makes him imba,he can be a supporter killer and pusher at the same time,having a healer nearby is even better,having him in team is nice =)
