i play dota for like 4-5 years... my starting hero was traxxex i believe. i have started playing dota cuz in the the 9th grade my friend from school introduced me to this scene, and was amayzedof the level of teamwork involved in this game. i could have gone 'pro' but an incident stoped me, and i was left without a pc for almost 2 years, and then camed my finnal exams in the 12th grade so was unable to play.

i play coz i like to kill ff but almost all time i be the dead one

cuz i got sick of all those hackers and cheaters @ ladder.
couldnt let my w3 addiction go, so started to play dota.

yea favorite player, for me is players Loda, Akke, Vigoss.
favorite team was always SK, but more recently i added ks.int for beating the shieet out of MyM

Why playing DotA? Well you see.. most people here only played "Garena" You know were everyone is pro riteeeeeeeee? naat

If you need evidence i got countless videos blowing them pathetic "Pros" up the air with nevermore.
I dident say i am pro, but them nabs.

What i wanna say is that you cant ask people around here, because they have no idea what DotA is about ( most of them)

Why i play is because i need something to play, i am addicted since age of 8.

DotA compared to most MMO rps require Mind and teamplay. that would be my statement why DotA is the best and un-replaceable game out on the market ATM.

I started playing dota only 7 months ago, August 08~

Me and my friends used to play counter strike.
But we got bored, then my mate showed us the game dota.
We started playing 2 vs 2/3 vs 3 on lan when we came together.
After some weeks I decided to buy my keys and start playing online.

Starting hero was Traxex, the only hero I wasn't a complete noob with.
1 month I was picking random heroe's, watching builds, writing down builds.
Play some games with the heroe, continue with another heroe.
After that month I realized it was not the essence of the game.

So I started to react on peoples heroes.
I started to use my brain, what item can help me to defeat the enemy.
Another month passed and I knew 90% of the items and heroes.
In that month I played alot of random games, to learn as much heroes as possible.

Playing 4-5 years of counter strikes really helped me in reaction speed and team thinking.
I'm far from being a so called "pro" dota player.
But comparing myself to other players in pub or div league, I think I'm getting pretty good.
So the game can only get more fun. (I know the skills can be very low in pubs, but I'm allmost allways the better one of my team (not to brag))
I see alot of my real friends struggle to get the the essence of the game.
Once you have found, I consider this game as alot of fun.

Now I sometimes watch replays of big teams like Ks.int, SK, MyM, ...
Out of those replays Loda, vigoss, kuroky, puppey and h4nn1 really enjoyed me.
I think Ks.int is outstanding at the moment, concidering the last replays I watched.
Concidering they can place a player like vigoss on the bench.. or does he really goes to rush3d?

The heroes I enjoy the most at this moment are:
Crystal Maiden
Earthshaker
Luna/Venge

I don't think it's a time waste, but a spending. Everyone got his hobby's
