DotA-VIP League - DVL

Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce you to DVL (DotA-VIP League). The DotA-VIP project has existed for more than a year, providing gamers a place to meet new friendly gamers. Until now we didn't have a real League but were more like a place where you could meet friends. We later on decided to give our users a league where they could play with each others - We've now officially launched our DotA-VIP League project and we would like you to participate and enjoy the fun with us.

So what is DVL?

DotA-VIP League is a gaming community, more known as an In house league nowadays. Most people thinks it's created for high skilled players, to play high skilled games on Garena, etc. but it's not. We are on the real battlefield -> the Battle.net on the Northrend realm. Our "user group" is not on a professional level, meaning that we're not a high skilled place such as IHCS, but still considered as a decent level.

So what is the goal with DVL and what do we want to achieve?

The goal is that we now also would like to provide our users a League that is private and only for them. Since we started the DotA-VIP project people were just hanging around in our clan at battle net (clan NVIP), which back then was created as a meeting place for the users to game and to meet newcomers.

...So now we also have a private place where we can give our gamers a peaceful environment to play their games without being flamed at or leavers ruining their games.

We already have created us a good reputation long ago, since the beginning of the DotA-VIP project. Which we're doing our best to keep in the private league as well. As mentioned earlier we're not a high skilled place so that's not what our reputation is about. We, (DotA-VIP), is known for the place where you can find peaceful games without flamers. We value manners much more than the skill level of our users. That being said, we do of course check the skill level of our users too, to make sure we keep a certain minimum standard amongst the gamers in the league.

So all in all this is a League is for the average gamer?

Roughly said, YES. But there is more than that of course. Our user group is very big and varies a lot, and a little explanation will follow to give you an idea.

Mainly we're providing this League for decent gamers to play their games in peace and to develop their skill level. No one finds it funny nor enjoyable to play their games where they are getting flamed at or leavers leaving the game ~ afterwards you feel like you've wasted 30-60 minutes of gaming time for nothing.

We also reach out to those gamers who might play in other communities where the requirements/demands are different, such as high skilled or on a more professional level. We know by experience, and have occasionally met gamers that are "known" or who comes from high skilled places and play with us because they find it relaxing.

And at last but not least, we also reach out to those gamers who don't have that much time due to real life yet still want to play some decent and mannered DotA games once in a while ~ and keeping their skill level in DotA.

That was basically about DotA-VIP / (League) in general.

Invitation - "Free vouching period"

So as we mentioned earlier we now have launched our DotA-VIP League project and we would like to invite you to our League and enjoy the fun games with us.

We've thought and believe that there might be some inactivity in the beginning stage ~ therefor we already in advance announce that there is a X weeks of "free vouching period" starting from XX/XX/2008 and ending on XX/XX/2008. This means that you skip the normal vouching process where you are being checked in test games. Meaning that you in this "free vouching period" will get an instant vouch ~ be able to play in the League.

Won't this cause some problems?

We believe that there will be some problems ~ and therefor we've already prepared ourselves in advance. All users vouched during the "free vouching period" will not be safelisted on our VIP List as VIP members until the "free vouching period" has ended. During the period, users who have been vouched from the "free vouching period" will be punished harder and in some cases instantly excluded depending on the offense. This is to make sure that there is a proper atmosphere and order as we do not wish or want users to ruin it for their fellow gamers who wish to play in the League.

Further information on how to get vouched during this "free vouching period" can be found here: http://www.dota-vip.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=3332

And you can also find more information on what to do, in case you've games where you're exposed for flaming or leavers here: http://www.dota-vip.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=169&t=3060

You can also check http://www.dota-vip.com/dvl - You will be redirected and have a detailed overview afterwards.
