Was trying to watch some of the more spectator friendly Dota of old, but couldn't figure out how using WC3 version 1.22. There are very few replays on the new version, nothing before this years ESWCs.

Does anyone how you can watch dota replays from different versions of WC3?

Ye, install that wc3 version somewhere on your pc OR find some russian utility to switch versions.

Well. I play dota for 3 nearly 4 years and i got some old replays starting from dota with snow.from 1.18 wc3 version and 1.20e and 1.21 as well. some of them are interesting to watch, u see some old spells and stuff but they are cool :).

i lost the link, but you can download 2 files that have both 1.22 and 1.21b patches for warcraft, just copy and paste the patched files into your warcraft 3 folder and you can play the replay. i have never found a dota replay that needs a patch before 1.21b.
