Where did tinker dissaper? Why isn't he picked in competitive games anymore?

Early game good lategame kinda poo.

Mostly cause he's too weak and owned by orbwalkers f.e. Viper

And he lacks disable spells which are now more popular

in most of the games he can still own, especially if you know someone is in the jungle. just tell someone to play the weaver, get some spys and everytime the jungler goes low take your freekill :>

weaver + bottle mid = nice option! get fast all runes and have great map control... nuke hard with invisible and hard to kill!

Did that really have something in common with the topic? Well like alot of people say hes not really strong endgame or midgame imo. Lacks CC and dies easily without escape spells.

tinker can be very good mid game, contrary to what murre said, but i suppose it depends on what yuo mean by competitive. do you mean professionally? if you mean like GGC or TDA then he can still be very powerful. but professionally, yea, tinker would be quite weak mid/late game.
