restealth as often as possible.... only use shadowstap to avoid someone running away from you or warricharges.... maybe you should get some ap gear .... the pvp trinket is usefull to because it gives you together with cheat death some seconds to get out of the fokus...you should play together with mage or a priest in 2v2 that should be effektiv...shadowstap rogues can't do very much dps but they have good CC with a good stealth detection so you can have 1 sap at the beginning than you just fokus 1 target and wait until someone uses insigne ... now you blind your enemy and you can fokus your target and than use vanish to get out of combat now you can sap again what gives you 100% 20 sec CC what breaks the most healer / DD combos!

Never use shadowstep as an opener, if you stun a mage for example, he will usually blink away right from the start, then would be a good time to shadowstep and kidney shot and force him into iceblock.

if you cant win just cry like the other players - and they will buff him and buff him and buff him till he is again the pvp king and than they will start killing people naked ...

AnniFury had some good advice, especially the “restealth as often as possible”. If you aren’t a dagger rogue, and catch an enemy low, a good burst combo is (from stealth) prem, shs, cs, evis, hemo, etc. I’d consider using garrote on mages (blink) and priest (resist stuns a lot). Also, use shs to escape when getting hit hard, target their healer (or other caster) and shs. A good warrior might intercept here so be aware.
