People got banned for changing the background of their starting-screen in Warcraft 3. Besides changing the models and changing the exe-file implies violating 4.B.i, so it is rather unwise to do so.

Even with that rulles, thers so many people like the well known serennia, or whatever players you'd like to mention that use Edit Models, and actually they dont seem to care much either blizz finds it or not.
Most people that use models, dont bother when they record a movie and post it at "wcm".com to change their models to the real ones, in case they could get caught.
Anyway my question wasnt that much directed about Blizzard rulles, but more in terms of Trojans or any other kind of spywares that we could get by using that kind of files, and after some time get our account hacked.

Though.. for those model edits u do need the ModelEditFix wich u have to pay 10$ for... If you do use google you can find it, but you'll need some search skills.
