So my guild is currently on her and kinda have troubles to get to the 3 phase, (we got 3 phase on our second attempt on her) but we get with few survivors what makes it impossible to finish the job, so our biggest problem is the strider as our kiter cant hold aggro for the dps to burn it down quick enough. So my question is what kiter are you guys using? Any tips?

Striders are vulnerable to slowing abilities .. so kite him around in circles and let ranged dps take him down. Works perfectly.
Also in 3rd phase, be sure that ur palas use freedom on tanks OR tanks might use Free Action Potions.
I think that it is correct, not much of a pve guy xD
But you can also check >>

I know the striders are vulnerable to slowing abilities the problem is! there's a strider up every 1min so we need to burn it down before that therefor we need an good amount of dps without having it running around fearing the tanks/healers, we've tried an aff lock/destro lock (with sp slowing him)/prot pala, being the last one the most successful but nevertheless we still had problems because the ranged taunt from the paladins didnt prevent the strider to run to the dps and fear the players on the middle
@Dac you're suggesting to keep him stunned all time? (or most of the time at least) we've been using nets and hammer of justice of palas but that's not enough to keep him at a "safe spot" .. :]

The key to the striders is to have many killing them at the same time. 1 Guy per elemental spot should suffice, and one as backup for core throwing. The rest should be in the middle. Once the kiter think he has enough aggro, all just go nuts on the strider. The more the better, since you'll get it down faster, hence less threat per player. So the tank will not loose agro. Have him kite in a big circle so the players in the middle can avoid getting feared.
I know we stopped using nets since the strider would just oneshot anyone running by at that time, which sometimes can be necessary for core throwing and that.

you can have 1 guy at every elemental spot.. they die easily and should be np.. just have all ranged nuke the striders (dont stun them) just intercept and hamstring and they are slowed for 10-15 seconds or something.. have a frost mage slowing it.. just kite it through the middle so healers etc wont get feared.. just nuke it since they die kinda easy

A good way to kite the striders is to have a shadow priest click off Blessing of Salvation and grab the aggro. Shadow priests can generate a lot of threat very fast, and in between Mind Blast, dots and Vampiric Embrace, they can keep it without any problems (given, of course, that they have a certain amount of spell damage).
Any other shadow priests should help dpsing them down, and use Mind Flay for slowing purposes. Of course it is also important to have hamstring and other slowing effects up, or else you will most likely end up with a very dead shadow priest kiter.

Well, theres many ways of kiting, done it with a mage, a warlock, and an elemental shaman. Both have abilities that generate a high amount of aggro so you can easily start nuking after a few seconds. With frostshock also gets slower, so its a plus, problem is the 'range' needed for it.
The kiter is the key, and should be a bit 'awake' or when the 2nd strider is up you'll have some deaths. By having the stairhealers on top of the stairs you can ensure the kiter will get healed/cleansed everytime he passes by. Have a fix number of dpsers for it, mages + shadowpriests, etc, leaving warlocks on stairsgroups.

As one can probably see from this thread, there's alot of viable options, i think it's more about finding the right player for it. Being able to do generate as much aggro as you can while still staying out of range does pose a problem to alot of players.
On my guild's first kill some months ago we used a frostmage and an afflication warlock. I personally think the latter is the easiest as most spells are instantcast and he has a slow himself. Frostmage really needs to know what he's doing to time frostbolts, blinks, and running away.
For the aggro problems you can have a mainassist who has a good idea about aggro and have him tell the others when to start attacking the strider. Hunters can also help generate more aggro on the kiter.
Hang in there, phase 2 is by far the hardest part of her, we killed her on our 2nd good phase 2.

Although a lot of end game warlocks will spec 0/21/40 for shadowbolt damage you should at least keep a few affliction warlocks as there DPS is still pretty god damn good. A very key talent for success with kiting is keeping curse of exhaustion up and putting in a few searing pains (for aggro build) whenever possible. A lot of times though the problem isnt whether the warlock isnt spec'd right or something bugged, it is just the player is lacking any sense to be an end game raider and this is where 25 man raids shine as it is a lot easier to replace the ones holding back the guild than it would've been in 40 man raids.

get atleast five people on the strider... everyone of them with nets.
Now train them all to learn how to kite because with the massive zerg eventualy they will be stealing agro from one and another... so what i mean is... there will be 5 kiters... if everybodys is in their positions the strider wont leave the kiting circle even if he changes target often.
My guilds strider setup was.. warlocks.. 1 frostmage and one shadowpriest. One of the warlocks was affliction for the slowing curse and I as a hunter everytime the strider passed my ramp i would conc shot him and send my pet to give intimidation stun.
Its hard teamplay all the way.

We have a Hunter Kite the strider his DPS is always top 3 on a normal boss and his burst is enough to stay ahead on agro, we have people net on occasion to give him room and mages can rank 1 frost bolt or have an arcane mage slow.
