paladin? what spec?
Hi, I'm currently a protection paladin, but many people say that it isn't very good as warriors and druids are much better tanks, so i was wondering wether this is true and if i should go HOLY to heal. So the question is, should i stay PROT or go HOLY?
and also some questions would be, what gear should i get so i could be accepted into raids, Karazhan at first.
Thanks Heaps

Hi,
If you enjoy being a protection specced paladin you really shouldn't respecc to holy.
WoW is all about having fun and doing what you like with your character : )
Protadins are very good tanks when it comes to tanking more than just one mob or larger groups, you can hold aggro like no warrior/druid can.
So my advice to you is, go protection and have alot of fun.

Thanks for the reply
I enjoy being both prot and a holy paladin, as they both play large roles in a group, and i like that. But I've being watching many videos of higher and harder instances/raids and there are hardley ever prot paladins as tanks, usually just warriors and druids. And I've noticed that Holy paladins are wanted alot in instances and raids.
Are there any Protection paladins that run end game raids that visit these forums? if so please reply to this.
As im asking these questions to see which spec to go, because i haven't started gearing in protection yet, i just had my pvp fun for the mean time. Now it is time for PVE
Thanks heaps

I suggest you stay Protection, but that's me, i love tanking. Besides, a Paladin Tank is needed in Magister's Terrace, if your going Heroics. If your going raids, it's usefull in Karazhan aswell.
About getting accepted to raids: 10k HP Unbuffed, and 455 Defense. That's all i know.
Hope i helped!

Yeah i've done some research and i've found this out
10k HP Unbuffed
490 defense
200-250 spell damage
I think that getting the 10k hp would be hard, as the gear in instances before raids have an exeptionally low amount of stamina on them. but possibly with enchants on them it may be possible.

the righteous set may be a good starter with the
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32660 sword with +40 weapon damage, and the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34675 sheild.does everyone think that most of all this stuff with enchants would be good enough to offtank Karazhan? and if possile, what enchants would you reccommend, for these items.
Thank you
My character sheet is provided below, so if anything i have there i should keep instead of some of the righteous set, please give a yell :):)

Your gear is decent enough, but your weapon is just AWFUL. Get Cudgel of Consecration from Magister's Terrace heroic, and spell damage is fixed.
Defense tho. Njaaa :p

Forgot to post: If possible get Thoriumweave Cloak and Bracers of the Green Fortress.
Bracers of the Green Fortress is crafted. And Thoriumweave Cloak drops from Mechano-Lord Capacitus in The Mechanar wing of Tempest Keep.

@svnN
indeed prot shines in hyjal. but with decent gear theres not reason you cant raid everywhere its just hard to find a GM who understands offspecs
