Hmm well, I've never played as a shadow priest in arena, but they usually say that disc is the "easiest" spec for arena because of survival abilities. So perhaps because you weren't as good a priest as disc because you didn't enjoy it? Or maybe it depends the combo.
I'd love love love to go shadow with my priest sometime, as you mention, it's a lot more fun! Or at least that's what I think.

i think Shadowpriests are imba in 2v2, disc for 3v3 5v5 is better.

Spriests are all about rush in 22 and 33. If you are not playing a rush team, go Disc. It gives you more viability and endurance.

The only decent 3s Spreist comp i've played against was warlock/ Spreist/ resto sham but they were pretty good. I don't think they are the best for 5s but in 2s they arent bad at all.

Im disc my self, but i sure wouldn't say disc is easier than shadow in anyway.
How ever about the fun part, in my opinion i think shadow is THE funniest build, awesome burst damage, and i wouldn't say a spriest are easy to kill, yes its easier to stay alive as disc, but its hard to kill as disc, which might end up with the situation of you being oom and die. Where the spriest most likely dps their target down, and even though your shadow you stil got the ability to heal, just "Off form".

But if i had the time to get shadowgear for my priest i would defnitatly go shadow, since its just great fun. True they aren't that used in 5 v 5, but a good shadowpriest would be very good in a 5 v 5 even though, since there is alot of teams which are trying to outlast in 5 v 5, for that a shadowpriest would be awesome because of its mana income.

Anyway i could keep on going :) Now you got my short opinion about Shadowpriests / disc.

It maybe your comp for your teams Shadow priests combined with warlocks will increase each others potential specially if you play well together. Its like giving a warrior Windfury the more you can complement each other the better you team you will be.
