I used to play this setup as MM hunter + Resto shammy and we got to 1850 in the beginning of S3. This isnt a big acomplishment but note that our gear was really crap (350 resilience on both me & shaman). It's alot easier with a resto druid/disc priest, but it can work with good communication. Altho I dont think you'll get further than 2.1k because it just has more down than upsides. I never tried to play it as BM but I think it'll be better if the shaman was elemental then.

Really... I remember when we firsted started off we tried to do elemental/bm for a couple of games... got destroyed and went back to MM/Resto... then i switched to BM for fun to see if BM/Resto would work and it seems to be destroying opponents either very quickly... or sometimes i'll get to use a second Bestial Wrath and by then its usually over. The games we've lost have been to lock/rogue or druid/rogue who seem to either kill my shammy or manage to keep him cc'ed long enough to kill me.
