I am starting up a new character on the horde side for pvp. I was wondering what race is the best pvp based.

for warrior i wll give my vote for Orc.it's more nice race skill and about a PvE spec war i will say Tauren....So pvp-orc

Hmm it depends
Orc: additional 25% resistence to fear, etc. (pretty good for PvP)
Tauren: Stop + 5% more Live (pretty good for PvE if you wanna tank)
Troll: Trollbeserker (increased attackspeed, WTF?! PvE! but my Warrior is a female Troll)
Undead: Will of the Forsaken (Well you don't have to waste your Deathwish or Berserker Rage)
I would propably go for a female Orc or Undead. It can help to select a certain race, but if you want a high ranking in Arena it won't make the difference, since you will need skill to get to a 2100+ rating (even with a 2on2 Druid-MS-Combo :P )

well, kinda stupid answers in this thrad so lets do it:
orc:
-25 STUN resi ( NOT FEAR ), not too bad in pvp, not that good either
-blood fury is totaly useless besides pve / farming, dont use it in the arena
-axe speci, well enough said its fucking axe no one with a brain is gonna use axe

-wotf, amazing for almost all clases, kinda useless as a warrior. fears can be dispelld, and break on berserker rage / deatwish and pvp triket. geting feared will be a problem once in like 300days played, so its a no issue
-canibalism, kinda nice to have sometimes but useless 99% of the time
-shadow resi/water breath, yeaaa right...

You write as if a 5% boost to HP as anywhere near as close to useful as a 25% chance to resist stuns in PvP... 5% boost is like what? 1 extra melee hit or an extra Ice Lance?
The AoE stun is a nice way to interrupt a casters around you, but its usefulness is still limited. Hell, as a Warrior I actually LIKE getting War Stomped in PvP, it gives me 10% of my HP back and 20 rage for a 2 second stun, me likes!

WOTF is INDEED NOT useless for a warrior, never. There's times when you even have everything else on cooldown and you got that up, a life saver etc for sure =)

oh totaly forgot trolls, well the speed thing is at least better then orc/ud, but cant touch tauren racials

My bad with the Fear thing of orc racial. But if he's asking for PvP race? Tauren yeah de 5% more hp an tauren stomp are grate, but on a high rating (in 2on2 and 3on3) what do you find more often? You can see a rogue fucking often (rogue/mage/discpriest easymode combo). An additional 25% stun/knockout resistance is fucking annoying for a rogue.

you really underestimate 25% stun resist in arena, it is the 2nd best warrior racial imo (escape artist being 1st) and the ap buff is good in alot of situations. i take orc .

25% stun resist stacks with Iron Will. so Orc is the best for PVP

Orc becuase the extra stun could really save you in match if you dont want to be CC. The next would be undead for the Wotf, extra fear breaker right there

In my opinion warrior is great as orc with his great passive skills, and undead. Wotf is imba vs locks.
This is your own decision what is better for you. If you dont care about view of character - talke UD, for they looks crappy :-)

I'd pick orc warrior for stun resist and blood fury for some extra burst.

For those of you who have actually played an Orc, would know that Stun Resist got nerfed to 15% back in patch 2.0
But yeah, Stun Resist is nice. But it's not essential.
If I were to pick a horde warrior race, it would most definetly be a Tauren. Reason?

- Charge = 1 interrupt
- Intercept = 1 interrupt
- Pummel = 1 interrupt

Why not pick an UD you say? Well my friend, recently they added Death Wish to the Arms tree, making you fear immune for 30seconds. And if you are going to be fighting in 5v5, you most likely will be Full Arms spec.

yeah but the weapon skill got changed to %crit? so why did they change weapon skill stats but not the stun resistance?

weapon skill got changed to 5 expertise (-1.25% parry/dodge) for orcs and humas, coz they just changed game mechanics of weapon skills, glansings, etc.

I already know that, but i mean why did they update the RACE passive skill from expertise to %crit (I KNOW IT WAS PATCHED LONG AGO) but didn't update the stunresi if it really is 15% ?

Its damn hard saying one race is better then another since its all situational. In s1 UD was totally awesome to prevent mindcontroll kills as an example, orc can be totally awesome when not targetted (and not likely to become targeted lolz) , or tauren if you dislike pillars and just want to hit through em =DDDDDDDDDD. Trolls are butugly and shouldnt even be an option.

Tauren warriors are by far MOST superior PvP-horde warriors...by far,...Warstomp alone just fucks over WOTF and other bullshitracials horde has to offer...Playing myself dwarf warrior (2.1k+ 2v2 n 5v5) for 3 years and i`m SO sad i didnt go horde or gnome...Tauren for horde. I would say any1 who says otherwise dont know jack shit...p.s. and yea..5% HP is also quite insane especially agains 2345/6/w-hunter

I love stoneform, believe me, but 8 sec long 3minCD...it helps more coz i`m playing 2v2 with paladin..still broke 2100 at one point..other that than escape artist is all i need to own druids as my ping doesnt really allow to spell-reflect natures grasp

Seriously every horde warrior has an argument to back up their race choice.
You know what the most important reason is of all.......
Pick a race you like the look of (AND ANIMATIONS) if your serious about being a warr then your gonna spend a lot of time looking at it. And if you don't like looking at your char your gonna have a shit time.

Tauren by far i have orc warrior and i would like if i could change it for tauren. Having extra range on your attacks is by far best racial that u have and no racial will change it.

My char is full a3 troll warrior, i like my class and my race. I choose this race cause of dps ability, it always help me on arena. I just turn it on with half hp and it's +30% speed to attack the dps is great.

who cares what race it it, if you can't play the class it doesn't matter what kind of racials you get cause you won't be any good to begin with.. so pick the class you think is the meanest, baddest, scariest lookin mofo's and go with that..
