also depends on what class are you, druid chaman? Priest?what raiding level u face off etc etc..
14k mana is very good, and maybe a lot, but u could also inform about ur stamina, spirit etc
ej:I as a priest, used too much +9healing+2mana regen gems, and had pretty high the mp5 stat, it depends on the structure and type of classes ur guild normally plays off( speaking about only the healers)
As a priest usually u would go to raid with 3 palas, 3 chamans and 2 druids, being urself as the only priest,u dont have to keep up with the healing ur paladins make because its always gonna be better, i probably would go with healing as in most raids your choice should be renew-greater heal rank 1 -prayer of mending, and with more + healing the better.
As base stats u have to achieve like +200 mp5 +2000 healing, 7800 hp/11k mana all unbuffed to raid tk, bt, hyjal
As base stats for raiding minor content( dont know ur guild progress) u nedd like +160 mp5 +1750 healing , +7k hp/9k/10k mana unbuffed.
If u are not a priest, sorry XD, post ur class, armory link, thnx!
make sure to collect more opinion, long time since i dont raid!:P

well ween i ment +2000 healing 11k mana i stated only for bt final steps/farming tk and hyjal, so u should be able to get it only with gear(upgrade ur t4 to some pieces of t5), have seen your link and u have pretty solid gear for my second advice( raiding" minor" content)
Furuken=
As base stats for raiding minor content( dont know ur guild progress) u nedd like +160 mp5 +1750 healing , +7k hp/9k/10k mana unbuffed. u could burst that up with +20 healing in rings( although u are not enchanter) some stamina in boots( u need to burst ur stamina at least to 6k for tk and even ssc)
In my opinion ur spec i should be 23 38 ( both point in spirit its one of reason priests are requiered in raids)and with those two points u should also increase ur +healing( when i ment unbuffed i ment raid unbuffed, ur own bufs dont count :P)

wow i type reallt bad hehe, when i said
" u need to burst ur stamina at least to 6k for tk and even for ssc"
i ment 7k being the minimum, u can take some of your mana right now and burst spirit/healing/stamina.
I hope my advice has been of eny help

your mana can be maximised...
ok example:
say if u had unlimited mana pool... meaning u could keep casting forever... hence never using mana pots.
BUT u only have 1000 + healing.. what use is that going to be... u will be outhealed easily.
a high mana pool means nothing if u lack effectiveness, the way i see it is making a blanace between the stats which are required for ur class as i have done.
p.s its correct im a big head officer, but as i remember the mana pots are under the general tab of the guild bank, so ne1 can withdraw.. have a good day

they are bosses that will need that u use like 5 mana pots-2 pets depending on ur function and ur ability but with ur current mana regen and raid buffs( plus flask plus weapon temporal enchant) u should be fine for ssc and tk i think ur main concept here would be stamina, everything else its ok, as i said in most bosses ur rol should be assisting other healers in the MT and u need a lot of +healing for those renews and prayer of mending to be efective,, whilst waiting to hot/prayer global cd u should be casting rank 1 greater heal( which will heal a bit more as flash heal last rank and save u more mana) u should be able to cast priest pet twice in a fight, time it with pots and trinket and knowing when ur shaman releases his mana spring etc etc innervate..
its ez to get about 11.5k mana and 2k plus healing for raids so
You want generally want +healing over mana, hands down. Mana can be compensated for, but you cannot compensate for your heals being too small to keep the tank up. What good is there in having 10k mana left when the tank dies because he didn't get big enough heals? And whether you have 10 mana or 10k mana left when a boss fight is over, is totally unimportant, as long as you have enough to get your job done.
As for competing with other classes, you are not going to win heal meters by stacking up on int. Your strength as a priest is your versatility. There is no point in trying to outspam the paladins who spam Flash of Light or the Shamans to spam Chain Heals. Use what your class is good at - having a heal for every occasion. Prayer of Mending, Renews, Flash Heals when needed, Greater Heals when needed, Prayer of Healing when the whole group takes damage, Circle of Healing if you have it, and shield to allow others to top someone off in a pinch. If you keep doing what is right in a given situation, you will get important heals in, and that will help the raid more than you trying to compete with classes that do certain things better than yours.
It is true that the biggest problem for priests is mana, but that is just something you have to learn to live with. Chain pot Super Mana pots in raids, use your Shadowfiend wisely, ask a friendly druid for an Innervate, downrank and you should be fine. With clearcasting and Inner focus you can easily get out of the 5-second-rule and start regenerating full ticks of mana during combat. Managing mana is a big part of playing any class.
Also remember that fights are different. Some fights, you will do well. Other fights, other healing classes will do well. Even though some players may be super high on heal meter, they might not be healing optimally - I have seen many situations where people get so obsessed by winning the meter that they start topping off everyone else, forget their primary task and let the tank die.
So stop worrying about keeping up with paladins, and instead stack up on stats that help YOUR class perform to the maximum.

First off, you should be worrying more about your mp5/spirit coefficient. And come 2.4, add Intel into that equation. Socket with 9 heal/2 mp5 and 3 mp5, or the epic gems if you're in BT/Hyjal. As long as you have all the +heal enchants, thread, and enscriptions, that's really the best you can do until you get into end game content and gain better gear. +Heal is overrated unless you plan on downranking to save mana. If your tank dies because you have 100 less healing, but more regen, then there is a deeper issue at hand. Perhaps your other healers suck.
Second, I stopped looking at the healing meters a long time ago. I guess I don't have an epeen I feel the need to flex all the time. But, if you do enjoy looking at the meters, a priest should NEVER lose to a palladin. Sure they have endless mana, but you need to learn to manage your mana more efficiently. I myself could blow through 11K mana without even blinking and still be able to find a way to regen. You need to have a cycle for each fight. Pot early, use your earring of soulful meditation/bangle of endless blessings every time they are up or when your inner focus is up. Make sure you know how long the fight is and use your pet as many times as possible.
If all else fails, make some other preist be the spirit bitch and go deep holy for clearcasting and circle of healing. Get the eye of gruul trinket(best trinket in the game for CoH). If you lose to palladins with a deep holy spec, you might consider rolling a new class. My guild has one spirit priest and he isn't in the raid at all times. We still managed to clear BT/Hyjal. So for those of you thinking imp spirit is a necessity, you are wrong. Ask yourself this. How much DPS does it really add? Then think of how much spirit your top DPS'ers have. Hmm, warlocks=close none maybe a 100 or so. Rogues=Zero. Hunters=hardly any and all spirit does for them is a little more regen.
In conclusion, get some key items, resocket for a happy medium of regen and +heal, and stop worrying about the other healers. If you really want to pump out the healing numbers go CoH spec and you will be on top almost every fight. Plus, most end game BT guilds have 1-2 CoH priests in raid since a lot of the fights have an entire group taking damage at the same time. Hope this helps you and sorry for it being so long.

It is quite common to run with only one holy priest in raids - that is what my guild does. Then you cannot have both Improved Divine Spirit and Circle of Healing (you can have clearcasting with both specs).
While Circle of Healing is really strong, Improved Divine Spirit does not only buff the dpsers, but also the healers. For progress raids, it is important to have all buffs available. For farm raids, who cares!
That said, from the original post, I understood it as if the original poster was talking about +healing versus having more mana (effectively meaning intelligence). It is true that from 2.4, intelligence becomes more important, but till then, I would take +healing over intelligence without blinking. I also disagree with taking heal/mp5 gems over pure heal gems for all items. Especially if you have epic gems available, you gain a lot more from using pure heal.
