What is the best rogue specc for pve/pvp and why?

I'd like alot of answers! I wanna try something new.

Blade Twisting - Rank 2/2
Increases the damage dealt by Sinister Strike and Backstab by 10%, and your damaging melee attacks have a 10% chance to Daze the target for 8 sec.

Vitality - Rank 3/3
Increases your Energy regeneration rate by 25%.

Adrenaline Rush - Rank 1/1
Increases your Energy regeneration rate by 100% for 15 sec.

Combat Potency - Rank 5/5
Gives your successful off-hand melee autoattacks a 20% chance to generate 15 Energy.

Unfair Advantage - Rank 2/2
Whenever you dodge an attack you gain an Unfair Advantage, striking back for 100% of your main hand weapon's damage. This cannot occur more than once per second.

Surprise Attacks - Rank 1/1
Your finishing moves can no longer be dodged, and the damage dealt by your Sinister Strike, Backstab, Shiv, Hemorrhage and Gouge abilities is increased by 10%.

Savage Combat - Rank 2/2
Increases your total attack power by 4% and all physical damage caused to enemies you have poisoned is increased by 2%.

Prey on the Weak - Rank 5/5
Your critical strike damage is increased by 20% when the target has less health than you (as a percentage of total health).

Killing Spree - Rank 1/1
Step through the shadows from enemy to enemy within 10 yards, attacking an enemy every .5 secs with both weapons until 5 assaults are made. Can hit the same target multiple times. Cannot hit invisible or stealthed targets.
Subtlety (12 points)
Relentless Strikes - Rank 4/5
Your finishing moves have a 16% chance per combo point to restore 25 energy.

i would prefer Fist weapons to this talent build.

Increases your total Agility by 15% and increases the percentage damage bonus of Backstab and Hemorrhage by an additional 5%.

Waylay - Rank 2/2
Your Ambush critical hits have a 100% chance to reduce the target's melee and ranged attack speed by 20%, movement speed by 70% for 8 sec.

Shadowstep - Rank 1/1
Attempts to step through the shadows and reappear behind your enemy and increases movement speed by 70% for 3 sec. The damage of your next ability is increased by 20% and the threat caused is reduced by 50%. Lasts 10 sec.

Slaughter from the Shadows - Rank 5/5
Reduces the energy cost of your Backstab and Ambush abilities by 15 and the energy cost of your Hemorrhage by 5.

Shadow Dance - Rank 1/1
Enter the Shadow Dance, allowing the use of Sap, Garrotte, Ambush, Cheap Shot, Premeditation, Pickpocket and Disarm Trap regardless of being stealthed.

People will hate you for using this build!!! i tried once to kill a mage in BG With around 12000 HP i ambushed him and killed him within 8 seconds he dindt have time to react at all. just shadowstep, ambush, shadow dance, ambush, ambush he is dead apx if you got good enough gear and are skilled :P

 

Interesting question. As far as a ShS spec goes, i think points could be better spent if they were not used in Remorseless Attacks. I usually think of this talent as a leveling/grinding/farming talent, not something that's particularly useful in PvP. So my Assassination tree would have 16 total points spent in it and include:

-Improved Eviscerate(3/3)-The buff to this ability is far too much to overlook
-Malice(5/5)-Not only for the critical hit chance increase, but for Lethality as well
-Blood Splatter(2/2)- Bleeding effects help tremendously, especially against plate(of course)
-Puncturing Wounds(3/3)-Because Backstab is definitely used a lot in this spec
-Vigor(1/1)
-Lethality(2/5)-In my opinion, these are the "left over" talent points, because I find Improved Gouge to be a great utility, and value it over more damage.

For combat, the only thing i pick up is Improved Gouge(3/3), as stated above. Again, this is my personal preference, and have no concrete evidence to back it up.

My Subtlety tree is pretty standard, no real changes that any other person might include except I skip Waylay because i tend to open up with CS or garrote. If i do use Ambush, it's either after a vanish or when Shadow Dance is in effect. In both of those scenarios, crippling poison would be applied, and 20% reduction of my target's attack speed isn't worth the two talent points to me. All in all, i have 52 points spent in this branch, including:

One last thing, this time it's a PvE spec. Recently, as I'm sure you're all aware of, a rogue in pretty standard gear broke 6k DPS with this spec. I'll post a link to the EJ website, as they can definitely explain it better than I can. It's basically a spec that involves Honor Among Thieves....for PvE.

Another Shadowstep spec, but this time using Hemorrhage instead of Backstab as your main move. This is of course a PvP spec, hence the lack of Precision and Improved Sinister Strike.

With the link above, you have 5 extra Talent Points to spend. You could choose to spec into Endurance Improved Sprint and Ghostly strike, filling out Precision and Endurance, or opting for Aggression/Malice. These options would increase utility, dependability, or damage respectively. Personally, I'm a fan of utility over damage. Especially when playing 2s with a mage, or 3s rpm.

The downside to this spec is you lose a lot of damage compared to using Backstab, and it certainly doesn't stand up to the burst you gain from Mutilate.

 

I tried a new mutilate specc, you can look at it on my char in sk. I like it but i ain't got no good gear yet so i don't really do any real dmg!
