Played both up to 50+ and I still can't make up my mind.

Well i have both classes, and if you don´t really know what u want to play i would recommend Shaman, becouse a hybrid class i real fun and if you get tired of healing you can go dps and there is both casters and melee :) druids are good aswell :)

lock is to easy for kill, shamy is multiple clas heal/melee dps/spel dps
but i have stupid lock and i bealieve they make lock OP at 80.

Seriously, play what you like most. If you want to control game and dps > Lock. Otherwise, if you want to heal and stop casts > Shamy.

warlock! I've played both classes at end-game and I can tell you that warlocks are much more interesting.

warlock is 1000 times better than shaman, but shaman is miscellaneous than loc.

considdering the recent nerfs to locks, i wouldnt advise anyone to play it, and i doubt they will be as good in wotlk as they were in t5/t6 content in tbc.
i think shamans are very versatile as mentioned above, and if i were to choose, i¨d probably take a shaman now.

Man fack the shaman i have rouge lvl 70 lock eat me for breakfest, now i create lock and now i eat for breakfest all other classes, locks are uberc00l. I eat warrior for breakfast, man i kill everyone

I enjoy playing lock more than a shammy.

Im thinking about creating a movie called "Shaman gone crazy 3.2". Lvl your shaman. Melee dps, ranged dps and healer. Locks are pretty boring imo, dps dps dps dps dps dps!

I've been playing shaman from beta so let me list you my pros and cons

pros:
- shaman dps has never been so good, even tho we lost a lot of utility in wrath, our dps is now completable with top dps. however, good mages dk and rogues will beat you.
- pvp/pve healing both seem to be making a comeback to the good old days

Cons:
- ele/enh still squishy in pvp
- Resto, while like i said making a comeback, is still the worse healers the game, our niche of AoE healing has be beating by both druids and priest, until this is fixed, we're seconded rate pallys.
