Soooo, while I was testing my rogue on a PTR server, I came to realize that Ret Pallies can annihilate me within few seconds. I'm telling you they cut me through like a butter. So, my question is what is the best ways to fight ret pallies and what is the best spec to last long against ret pally fights?

Everyone on the PTR is having trouble with ret paladins so I wouldnt really worry about it, they'll get nerfed probrally eventually... however it took three arena seasons to nerf resto druids so I wouldnt hope when Blizzards in charge.

I mean cmon, my warrior with 13k hp, ~380 resi & 11k armor die's within 3-4 seconds from a retri... That's not how this game should be! And just the fact that the arena setups Retri / Retri in 2s and Retri/Retri/Retri in 3s are dominateing other teams... Feels like it's just a bad joke from Blizzard's side!

If ur spec subtlety u can kill it with stunlock. But really hard. If ur spec is Mutalite u need use ur ambush. I hate to ret pala's instant kill. Also mutalite rogue can do instand kill. But i don't know rogue's how to instant kill. pally got 2 remover 1) Trinket (medallion) 2)Divine shield.
Rogue got Sprint evasion. I think Neilyo can tell better method.

well i am watching els montreal and all lolret setups got destroyed by RMP
so i guess if u wanna win vs lolret in arena do RMP
if u wanna win lolret in a duel reroll a mage
although u might just be bad since i heard that rogues actualy can win fairly easy vs ret in 3.0

The tactic VS Retardins as a rogue is the new disarm thingy spell..
Then they are free COOKIE!

HfB*3-Sap->CS->Muti->Muti->KS->Muti->Muti->Dismantle->Muti->Muti->CB evis->Evasion when he bubbles just run away and sprint/vanish, rinse and repeat.

lol @ bds. Yes, you can do that if you have infinite energy and the paladin stands still while you dps him.
You know they can hand of justice out of ks, trinket, bubble and whatnot?

PS: HfB in its current form is awful for PVP.

If they trinket, blind, sap, bandage, start over again.
When he bubbles, vanish, sap, bandage, start over again.

HfB is insane 9% increased damage, you dont use it to remove bleed...

Its possible to kill a ret pala will all his CDs but its really hard, i can agree with that.

As for HfB, the dmg increase is really good but keeping it up in a fast paced arena match is really awkward. Atm, it seems more like a pve talent to me.

Most arena matches end within 30 seconds anyways

Stunlock... If paly use divine shield , rogue need to vanish, DS's later maybe can kill ^^
But really hard for rogue. If ask neilyo , neilyo can be tell better ^^

this is my new specc, and i play with 2x wound poison overall, it hits for 230-240.. 50% chance +SnD, its a lot of dmg.
i play very aggressive vs ret's : cs-cb-muti-ks+evasion-(most pallys trinket here: noob pallys stun, the better ones wait for cloak and/or cast repentance to heal themself)-if stun => trinket +kick.heal or blind to force him using his next cd. keep an eye on DR's for gouge and cs. try to avoid wasting vanish, when he bubbles. use dismantle after his bubble.

you have to rush a fast kill after his bubble, cuz in most cases.. you won't survive his 2nd stun.

These "guides" are useless to be honest. You don't need any real strategy if the paladin doesn't know how to play to begin with or have the gear.

The first KS gets removed by freedom and you'll be repentanced/HoJ'd. If he uses repentance he'll heal to full and start dps on you with a 3-5k burst and you can't remove repentance with trinket or you'll get gibbed in HoJ --> You need to trinket the HoJ or you die and after that it's a downhill battle for you. No, dismantle/clos is not a counter to HoJ, if he blows HoJ when he's dismantled or you have clos on it's because he's bad or got unlucky, not because you're good.
He has trinket for blind and using bubble in equal PvP gear is not often even necessary.

And remember kids, you can't dodge or clos holy damage...

just wait a few days until the ret nerf is aktive on live and you will be fine
multilate is almost as pre nerf ret anyway, game is fucking insane right now and lost every singel aspekt of skill, at that was not a lot anyway.

If a full brutal retlol can't gib you in HoJ or kill you in general then something is very wrong. Maybe he has had his hands ambutated and he's playing with his feet or something?

Ofc JoC and SoC aren't enough to burst you down alone but he'll eventually get to land something and when you dip to 35% (20% in the future) you're already dead.

The fight starts to look a lot better if you can successfully vanish when they bubble. The paladin needs to be dismantled immediately after the bubble ends.
