SK Warlocks
I've been playing the class for 3 years now, and I can say i'm always looking for different perspectives on the class. (Currently 2/8, working on felmyst, still using a blue/kara/ssc/ 2/8 t6 items and pulling 2.1k dps on brut, with 164 hit and 364 crit rating)
Now Question: I'm assuming you run a shaman, hopefully ele shaman a warlock group. And the hit cap is something like 202.67, (essentially 203). now with the 1% hit and *if* you have a shaman with totem of wrath for the extra 3%, why have something gemmed for hit. I see in Hypnotoad's armory he's got 203 hit, which is great, i can see if the shaman dies (but hopefully you really don't have shaman that are in-efficient. So essentially, why not take the ~193hit if you've got the 1% extra even with a resto shaman.

We usually dont use ele shaman, thier own poor dps doesnt make up for the dpsbuffs they supply.
kk, so then im assuming a shaman is in the warlock group then. (While in conquest we had 1 shaman, 4 warlocks, or 1 shaman, 1 sp, 3 warlocks)
So that's still 1% that the warlocks can drop. It's just a "general" inquiry because i saw a +hit gem and they had hit cap, which imo could be exchanged for a haste, crit, or general +12 spell damage.
that is unless you don't put a shaman in there, but i wouldn't imagine why not.

Im not sure why you're guild is letting someone undercap come to sunwell, but anywho, you should always be hitcapped before focusing on crit/spell damage because you want to always do damage and be resisted as less as possible, 2-3 resists on a fight is too much specially like brutallus, also can you post a WWS of this 2.1k DPS on brutallus and your armory? Usually people gem for hit because they are under the 202 cap without gemming, however with 4/8 T6 you should be at cap without having to gem for it. Reaching cap will boost your dps by quite a lot so if i was you i'd do a bit more research and get capped.
just looked at your armory your at 177 cap which isn't even capped with an ele shaman in your group which is bad, and also it looks like the focused nethergon band, the ring from isle badges would probably do you more good than the ring of eternal sages, getting hitcapped was the best thing i ever did as a warlock.
+hit gem some of your items, u want atleast 190 hit.

*Note: the lock above me is hit capped and 6/8 t6, with over 100 haste*
Theres some with 2.1k some 2k etc.
I recently just got 4/8, so what you looked at the other day with 177 hit, is not currently accurate and I dipped a bit down again. But the WWS with 2.1k is with 160 some hit-ish.
Obviously my gear is not "optimum" for the occasion, I'd ideally not like to be using the badge chest or the t6 pants, or even still holding onto the kara neck / blue trinket / fang of leviathan. I took a 6 month break from killing illidan back in November with Conquest (the molten core notorious.)
And I obviously forgot the whole horde thing, sorry you get to miss out on 1% hit from dranaei.

Ok well really what it comes down to, do you have that 4% hit rating EVERY SINGLE RAID? if you do then i guess being below cap is OKAY but its not hard to reach cap with T6 stuff, its really not, you can reach cap without even having to gem for it, and you won't gimp any stats what so ever. Im just telling you that getting hitcapped is good even if you do get that 4% ever raid and that its easily attainable from t6 pieces and you want to be capped before you worry about spell damage and spell crit. I also believe haste scales at the same level of spelldmg/spellcrit if not better so i would gem stuff with 5spellhaste/6spell damage and then 5haste/7stam for the 2 blues that you need for your meta gem. theres websites like www.warcrafter.net where you can put in your chars's name/server and you can change gear so you can see what you need to get to get capped.
