Tank problems ;/

so my problem is fvcking annoying 1st of all atm im fully equiped prot warrior bt/mh gearwise miss only the trinket from Bboil but thats not important i have some incredible low tps wich i cant boost by anymeans i mean putting avrage 1200tps on Teron is fvcked up isnt it ? and thats grp without enchsham nothing to boost me im useing the usual rotation on skill like slam , revenge , deva , deva (heroic strike when i have more rage) and at the middle of the fight or even 20% after the fight im starting to get rage starved to death i mean i go down to 900 tps .... avrage tps that i do on this boss with grp without ench shammy is around 1200 not more so can some one tell me why the fvck im starting to get rage starvation or maybe explain to me what am i doing wrong or ppl in the raid i mean the rotation its how it has to be but i still cant get more than 1200tps while i've seen some of the vidios of nihilum or other guilds that theyr mt's start wiht avrage tps around 2.1k maintaing trought the begining around 1800 till the end they end up around 1400-1600 tps to mention my latency is around 120-140ms

pls no smart talks like gtfo and quit the game lamer im trying to improve cuz i know that with that (tps) im not doing something like i have to ... but cant find my mistakes ..

Well, first of all I am able to put out about 1800-1900 TPS on Teron and I do exactly what you say you are doing. You might have reached the point where you are over-geared with avoidance and therefore the boss is not hitting you. Try putting on some higher stam, less avoidance, and more threat-generating gear. Examples are the gloves off Teron himself, Shard of Contempt, and I have even seen some warriors using some fury/MS warrior gear from BT just to boost their expertise and hit rating along with agi/str/ap.
Also, have you tried using bloodrage every cooldown? Or even rage potions? I have found they can be extremely useful in encounters you are rage starved in, such as OTing Bloodboil.
If none of these suggestions work, then I don't know what to tell you. I am able to do 1800-1900 TPS on Teron and I have never lost aggro once.

Not to sound like an arrogant prick or anything, but both of you pull those TPS numbers out of your asses. Good TPS for a BT geared warrior in a normal grp(no shaman, no feral) = 8-900. Very good in the same group is anything above 1000, peaking at 1200. Any tank can claim 2k TPS because he looked at omen after a MD or a crit string. Use WWS(the one tool in wow that never lies) together with a TPS calculator to show your true TPS. http://rehfeld.us/wow/wws-tps/ is a good example(although this one is fairly optimistic in its values as well)

Now to how to do good TPS(this is in a non instagib situation): Keep true to your rotation, which should be SS-rev-deva-deva with buffs and debuffs being used in the deva slot in your rotation. Heroic strike should always be cued as long as you ALWAYS are able to use your next ability in your rotation, ie if you have 23 rage you don't go and use heroic strike when Shield slam will be off cooldown for your next global cooldown. Using your global cooldown effeciently is the next issue. In a endless rage environment your GCD is the only thing limiting your threat, so planning ahead knowing what you will use it for is important. Know that in 1.5 seconds Shield slam will be up, and spam that button when the GCD is coming to an end. The longer your GCD is ready, the lower your threat is.

Opposite that, we have low rage situations. Your aim, as long as the fight allows it(hard hitters you need to save rage for abilities like shield block etc), is to NEVER leave your GCD open. If you have 8 rage and your GCD is ready most tanks sit and idle, thus lowering their tps. A good tank uses shield bash(roughly same threat value as a sunder armor + it can crit doing even more threat). Alternatively you can use rend(if debuffslots allow for it), an ability which does roughly a sunders worth of threat, with no mangle present. Lastly you have demoralizing shout, but its threat value is close to nothing.

Thats all there is to it really. Plan ahead to your next GCD and be aware of what you are doing and what you can allow yourself to do. Also keep in mind that what I have written here only holds true for pure TPS fights, and you should never tunnelvision onto it keeping your own survival as the nr 1 importance

thanks big time Jabezz i'll seek to see next wws report after we restart raiding few weeks from now and yea i have to agree that TPS showed on omen is not rly correct one i just hope that im around 900-1k tps like you said and as listed above im doing all the stuff you are saying + useing alot of expertise gear just so i can boost everything thanks again

I'm am not an expert but if you seen ur self dodging to many of the boss attacks then you should lower your dodge so you get hit...if you miss a lot of your hits then replace some of your dodge to hit raiting or expertise...

getting hit is the more rage builder as you know...so just give up some dodge or def. for stam or parry...if i am not wrong parry builds rage too and is a 100% no dmg.
