Disc priest, Disc priest, Hunter
Hey everyone, im no arena expert, and yes, i know that priest, priest, hunter isnt exactly a top team. Hell, when i search i cant find any top teams of that! But i was wondering, as general good pvpers how far can we go? All of us, apart from the hunter, do not have these characters as mains, but are willing to make them if we know we can succeed well enough at a decent rating in arena. Yesterday, we played 8games at 1500 rating in the EU battlegroup blackout, and lost 4, won 4.
Gearwise, we are badly geared, and wrongly geared. For example, my priest is FULL shadow geared, frozen shadoweave, blues, with lowbie (60ish) rings, trinkets, etc. I have a few pieces of shadow s1 gear, but only about 100ish resi. The other priest is healing geared, but nagrand blues, greens etc. 7khp buffed. The hunter is decent geared, specced BM, with about 10.2khp. As mentioned, the priests do not play them as thier mains. Yesterday was our first real pvp experience, arena wise on them, and for me, the first day i specced discipline ever. Every fight we lost was due to lack of tactics, and positioning, and all were very close, and easily winnable if we didnt make some little mistakes. The Hunter is a night elf, im a human, and the other priest is a dwarf. If we could have any advice on what is the max arena rating could aqquire, any tactics, anything!, would be great. Thanks.

I've seen a few hunter/double healer teams around, although it's nothing I would prefer myself since I find 2healer teams extremely boring :)
But I guess it could work, although class stacking is often not a very good thing in arenas, since you want as many different elements from the classes as possible.
A friend of mine runs hunter/priest/druid on 2.3k+ rating in the Cyclone battlegroup.

My advice is that you pick up a warlock instead of the 2nd priest!
Not the most fast paced setup but it's a very good setup against RMP which still is one of the most popular ones.

Thanks for the help Gosey
If you're going for a counter vs RMP, go bm hunter/warrior/druid
Sack one of the priestes and get a druid, anti RMP and a well fun combo to plau :)
i disagree to a point about trading out the priest for a druid. seen that team enough on my rmp to know its pretty easy to poly the priest and blow up a druid. 2 dps especially a well geared ss rogue w/ a pi'd mage the druid wont last long w/out some additional dps being pumped out... or at least what ive seen. dump a priest get a lock imo.
change the one priest and get a warr or a mage...i prefer warr.it will be awsome believe me
