As an avid reader of Sk-gaming , Gameriot and a on and off pvp player.
I enjoy following all the battle ground news and competitions, i started reading and paying attention during the start of wsvg because i knew a few of the names and players that competed.
since then i have come to a lot of conclusions with wow as a e-sport with pro gamers.
Essentially if you didn't get into wsvg your ability to get into the tournaments is pretty closed off
by the bigger game teams if you play any other server but bg9 you wont play pro!
All the news and reports only concern battle group 9 sponsors and leagues invitationals all have tunnel vision for this group of players it's a sad fact.
As if there the gods of pvp. i am not hating on them or jealous (eh maybe a bit) who doesn't want to be making money ffor playing a game.
But seriously i do believe there hindering other battle groups , players and teams by excluding them from competition. There may be a really great warlock on some (considered) backwater server who would blow people away but they will never be seen because of the major gaming site's obsession with bg9.
That being said i will give my complaints on bg9

With so many high ranked teams on bg 9 just how do they become so highly ranked?
Its top few teams farming an overall percentage of total crap teams and players?
Setting up to queue's vs bad low ranked teams who have agreed to lose?
If you have a server full of teams rated 2300+ just who are they queuing against?
i mean a 2400 team would take a huge point loss to a 2k rated team.there obviously not playing vs each other.
making the entire bg9 team ratings a total sham!
Season 2 especially the closing of it and the start of season 3 showed alot of activity on the blogs and sites from teams selling points,win trading, top teams admitting to setting up queues,
Irc channels set up for them to do just that.
bg9 was the birthplace of at least 6 battleground cheats. from drinking while healing to the hunters using a macro exploit. i can go on and on i can name pro players and supposed pvp icons that have been caught.
bg9 has had the most top teams disbanded and banned from the game then any other bg, And yet people still talk of these players as if they truly are all that and more. A lot of them still playing on the Pro teams! The fact is a good chunk of the upper bracket players have used exploits.
You may ask why i believe bg9 is full of hot air here it is!
On other bgs you will never hit the ranking sites top numbers because the teams are on a much more even playing field so getting up 60 points is a real struggle.I back this up by looking at some recent history.
looking at the players and teams who are making a mark on bg9 hell none of them are even originally from bg9 they transfered there and immediately dominated on a highly over ranked server.
take these expamples:
Capslockcrew originally from bg10 got to the top and by no means easily there.
Transferred to Tichondrius and Immediately dominated how did this happen?
Fnatic insurrection another bg 10 team who i know dominated there transferred to bg9 long before wsvg i recall reading the forums after they made the transfer as a guild they immediately made there presence known and once again dominated over the pvp scene.
There are many examples like this i am sure.
Seems to me they learn and train on a harder bg then transfer to bg9...
There are so many other top players and teams who went to bg9 and made a big splash on the scene. Are they all just that great or is it really just a few greats and the rest just exploit and cheat to maintain the idea of looking "awesome".
with all the controversy, cheating, exploits, foul mouthed players faking there way up the ladder it's no wonder world of warcraft is having a less then stellar review e-sport wise.
I love the game i really enjoy watching the pro players and teams and i love to support the game as an e-sport. I just wish the people would see a much wider picture then just that of bg9.
And stop lending support to players who are just contaminating the game with alot of hot air!
And unprofessional attitudes.

By the way i do recognize that there are a handful of truly amazing players on bg9 and some great teams who are just as pro as they get kudos to them!

People who Play on BG9 US or Stormscale Europe or full of Star players who started on other servers, new star players will continue to be born and maybe transfer to those battlegroups.

But they shoulnt forget that all of those players started on diffrent servers and later transfered there :+)

There is still alot of talent left on other servers and there always will be , but in the end , if you wanne be a pro gamer you 1st need to make sure you become a top ranked team on your own Battlgroup and at some point transfer to one of those to become (famous) after all beating and competing at stormscale / BG9 is a whole diffrent competition then most other battlegroups.

If you get top ranked there iam sure you will get noticed soon enough :+)

And bout cheating , Serrano Famosi is one hell of a cheater team , ive seen them on 2200 rating with green blue gear and 10 res :P
Blizzard should take aktion against those teams realy fast , these kind of teams dont earn their gear the way they should and need to be banned, when they do that other cheaters will think twice about cheating in arena.
