Why Koreans are the best in Starcraft?! What they have that other world doesn't?!
I can't understand? Or is it only country who seriously respect this game..? :D

They get so much money for playing at pro level, they have coaches, they don't go to school/job - sc is their only one job. There are some channels on TV which shows SC games...

Well It is yet to be seen who will dominate in SC2, but i'm sure that Korea one of the top nations )
And yeah SC scene there is at the top lvl, like CS in Sweden )

Read one of moon's (Great Korean warcraft player) interview in a Chinese website and he was asked the exact question.
Moon said that Starcraft wasn't a big hit in Korea when it first came out, the reason it became popular was because of legends like Slayers_Boxers who won 2 WCG's.

Esports are just like national sports, if your country wins some world tournament, the sport will become popular in that country. Just like how Warcraft 3 became popular after Sky took 2 WCG gold medals.

Koreans dominate in starcraft because theirs lot of monney involved and they keep playing it like we sweds are playing cs ;D

i read an article bout it (i think it was on SK actually) about how the TV stations were almost going bust during a recession years ago so they put their own SC shows on tv and it's gone from there. also the fact that its the best game ever, they just figured it first :D

they just have the brains and dedication for starcraft, just like swedens have for CS ;D~
