Blizzard is famous for not keeping their promises. Remember what they said about Diablo 2 or Warcraft 3.. It's just the same. At least I think we can expect a quality patch.

"There won`t be any useful patch, forget about it"
I promise to write this sentense again after about half a year for all of you guys who like tales.

if blizzard is a serious company, then this company should care about their customers (we are customers), like it does serious companies...but blizzard has monopoly on wc3 thats why we cant go to other company and ask for the patch. What we are doing if service is not acceptable for us?, we go to other company, now we can not go to the other "Blizzard", there is no other blizzard. thats why dota is so popular these days, because there is a team which really takes care about dota. If Blizzard would take care even 10% of what dota team does, then wc3>dota.
I see the only reason why Blizzard gives a shit on wc3, they wont get profit, they already made money from it. but they forgot, that we are their customers (few millions) and if there will appear another "blizzard" we will choose better service and another blizzard, because we will remember those promises, we are growing up and dont believe in it, current blizzard will lose few million customers.
We could respect Blizzard if they would be honnest with us and will tell us that wc3 development team is closed. that would be honest.
In bussiness world there is a company and there is a customer, there is cooperation between them. in our case its blizzard monopoly and stupid promises, which shows no respect to their customers, they are thinking that we are kids (i am not actually), and that they can lie, like parents does to their childs in order to chill them out.

@DzemAs
the problem is, that there won't be "another" blizzard. so we have to live with these circumstances. we can't change them, so do not put to much expectations in thes promises of blizzard. will make your life much easier.
and do not forget: it's just a game. a patch would be nice, but it won't change anything in your real-life.

I don't think sc2 will have balance in its early versions. There will be several patches before that happens.

Re: Warcraft III Patch Announcements/Updates | 1/30/2008 12:54:01 AM GMTST | Warcraft III General Discussion
January 29th, 2008 - Today, the eSports Team is meeting with Rob Pardo, (Senior Vice President of Game Design), and Chris Sigaty, (Lead Producer of StarCraft II), Dustin Browder (Lead Designer of StarCraft II),and David Kim (Balance Designer of StarCraft II) for the second round of discussions on the balance changes that will happen for Patch 1.22. Many of the balance changes mentioned by both professional eSports players and the community alike, such as 'nerfs' to Human Guard Tower repair rates are on the top of the balance list for these rounds of discussion.
When balance changes are more solidified, I will give you an update on what these may be, and a better approximate release time. Furthermore, there is the possibility of additional Battle.net features to be added in Patch 1.22 that would further add to the longevity of the game online.
Patch 1.21b, the 'no CD' patch for Warcraft III is being signed off as we speak, and is aiming at a release for next week.
