Sad to see BeT going downhill but good to see mTw going uphill. I'm kind of torn about what to think here tbh.
me too. but i wish mtw the best. they seem to be well prepared for the next wc3l season. but a huge roster with eight players. i wonder if some have to leave.
I like mTw but I'd prefer to see the Koreans in a stable Asian based team instead of getting thrown into that mix of Euro-Rus-Korean-something. This just calls for another "2 mTw players not showing up for LAN finals" news.

i doubt that bet will participate @ the finals.
these "transfers" ruin a lot. there should be rules like in football (transfers aren't allowed during a season, after a certain point of time has passed). but "pro-gaming" isn't that professional. :(

I'm pretty sure bet is the reason players are leaving, and mtw just picked them up.

Such rules cannot be defined in esports, not because it's not professional enough, but because there are multiple leagues and they end at different dates, so it can't be allowed to change teams only after season of one league ends (would suck for other running leagues) :p
oh, for me it is far beyond professional when players can leave a team just before the finals of one season and join another team to play the offline-season.
the overlap of two different team-leagues is ridiculous, not professional.

There is such a rule (at least for WC3L).
IX. Lineups

f. Clans may only acquire players from other WC3L clans in the week before the playdays 1, 5 and 9. Players acquired outside of one of the transfer periods may only play after the next transfer period has passed. Players acquired during a transfer period may play right away with the exception of not being allowed to play vs clans they already played vs with their old clan in the same competition stage.

In this case, whO will not eligable to play the playdowns for mTw. Is that professional enough?

That's a BeT statement on the rumours of WhO and Winners to mTw in case you didn't get the point :P. But this kind of statements are often released to calm down things and in the end the transfers actually happen (for example when MYM]Mercy said that they wouldn't take any other CS 1.6 team when they dropped their CS.no team. This was only to calm down the rumours of PGS.cs joining MYM ;]).

wow, you guys are retarded. Who and Check would've left Bet anyway, so they had to chose one of the 11 other wc3l teams. By your logic ANY team they would have chosen is a merc team.
Be glad that mTw is making a financially daring step to build a good team and gives the Koreans a new home where they have fellow countrymen and former teammates together.
What should they do? I mean you can't build a european based team and make it to the finals. It's just not possible. You would need all top players like Tod, Grubby, Hot. But we all know that it wont happen easily to get them into one team. There are a lot of very good and talented european players but not comparable with koreans. I remember all the discussions some year sago when koreans started to compete with europeans. It's not that teams want to be called "mercs" but it's a necessary step to make if you want the success. On the other hand we have a team like mouz with many european players (sase,tod,hasuobs,happy) but we have also fly in this team and i think he is doing well and i know that many ppl like the team.

yaa.. rukie stated that in an interview for readmore~ on the one hand it is sad because the european or american player cannot improve well but on the other hand it brings the skillevel of the leagues to a higher level and the games are more exciting.

They should actually pic up Winners and kick out some of the other players. It's not like I want mTw to be a korean only team, but I think if you pick up players like Check and Wh0, you should give them the possibilty to reach the finals. But I think as long as they have players like Nightwolf or Kiwi (who are good players anyway, but simply not as good as for example Grubby, Tod, Hot etc etc) they won't be able the get the poleposition.
if you look at the zotac-cup grid that's going on today, you'll see who under his BET tag so he hasn't gone yet..

i remember a time when mtw was only germans and they failed miserably.. good to see them with more of a variety now. With who as their latest addition, who knows where they may end up..?
