March 4th, 2008 - The Dev Team is preparing to send invites to the professional Warcraft 3 players to test out the patch on a test server. If the feedback is positive, we will have the patch out on public servers shortly after that.

It means:
1. they prepare to send invitation to professional players
2. Professional players test the patch
3. feedback positive(if nagative then more time is needed)
4. new patch out SHORTLY after positive feedback

The key word here being "shortly".

If i was the pro players i would try the patch then mention some of the imbalances and say it's a bug

ie.

sry for question some ppl might find it stupid but still , are the pro's gonna test the patch online ?

they will test it on "test server" so i doubt it will be LAN server.So yeah online i guess

i can`t really say that this will have any possitive effect on the patch - at the very top level the things are pretty even and its pretty much a matter of a luck/map pool that decides the winner....

still its much betta to listen to their oppinions than to ppl like tpn/azeroth/lordaeron guys...

I whould rather have a proffesional player test it than the "average" user. People who plays wc3 as their job surely has a way better understanding of the gameplay than the average player.

Would be interesting to see who are the professional players :o

obviously Remind and Soju will lose intentionally while Moon hides strategies for patch 1.23

I hope it gets whatever feedback it deserves, so that when it's finally out, it's worth the wait.
