WC3's balance and if any race is actually imba.
WC3 has been disputed over balance since it has come out, some claims regarding balance have been addressed while others haven't.
For this thread I want to break down exactly what is so imba in WC3 and how it can be fixed. I'll cover ALL races because every race has broken units.
Human
Humans recently were nurfed so badly with their tower building speed that only the best and luckiest HU players can get off a good tower rush. However their flame strike spell deals excessive damage to buildings and units alike. One lvl 2 flame strike can easily obliterate entire armies.
Suggestion to fix? reduce duration.
NE
Cyclone is pretty much the only real balance issue with NE since mass cyclone+mass archers with a potm kills off just about any army.
Fix? reduce duration
UD
As a UD player I find that UD is one of the hardest races to fight off but I haven't seen anything that's outright imba about them, mainly because the longer the game drags on the more useless UD get as their real strength lies in their spell casters rather then the strength of their units.
Fix? Learn to play better, every UD unit has a counter from just about every race. The only time UD becomes imba is if you suck too much to fight a good UD player.
Orc
Orc are constantly being accused of being imba and its largely due to the fact that Orc never get nurfed.
BM, while a powerful hero isn't really imba. Personally I'd just like to see WW cost more mana given how effective it is early game to help balance it out when Orc fight UD.
Shadow Hunter to me represents everything broken about Orc. Healing Wave is the cheapest spell in the game, it keeps armies alive against armies to massive and powerful that it would normally crush any other race. That followed by hex, which effectively screws over specific units while ensnare and the BM pound on the hex'd unit make SH probably the only outright broken thing in wc3 that is nearly impossible to counter, even with countering given that healing wave heals the SH's entire hp.
Fix? Increase CD of Healing Wave, decrease duration of hex, decrease Healing Wave heal amount.
In terms of neutral heroes Tinker is over powered. A good tinker user can use pocket factory to solo creeps and when level 6 is reached Tinker gains an attack that deals as much damage to buildings as 3 siege tanks. Pocket Factory if left alive can decimate just about anything attached to the ground and engineering just makes Tinker faster and makes pocket factory even more deadly.
He's by far my favorite hero but he's incredibly over powered.
Fix? Revamp or remove him. He was a April fool's joke anyhow.
Any other real imba stuff relates to tiny maps where HU can tower/militia rush pre hero and the ability of Orcs to load up a BM with items found on any map to make him even more powerful.
Fix? lower militia movement speed, unsure how to make Orc lose the BM+mass items issue without nurfing the BM too much.
Please note that imba doesn't mean it can't be beat. It just means oversights that effect the combat variable so drastically that the battles become somewhat one sided regardless of skill level.
As a final note I think that the only reason why wc3 is having balance issues is because Orc doesn't get nurfed while everyone else does. It was never that Orc was more powerful, because they weren't but over time every race but Orc was toned down which has created current balance issues with the SH and arguably the BM.

Actually, the most imba about elf is dryad, its cheap, it has same build time as ghoul, and if u kill whole elf army outside his base, he will regain those driads while u get to his base.

Nice topic, but the publisher is retarded. Tinker is not overpowered because he dies easily. We all know BM is imba and suggestions have been made throughout the years but so what, its not like blizzard will change something. Moreover - healing wave ain't the cheapest spell. The only match-up that is imbalanced is UD vs ORC but that is easily fixed if frost armor was unable to dispel. Orc shouldn't get nerfed due to the fact that it is the only race with no magic immune units.
