The few times i log onto battle net to play some games of wc3 it feels like i get russians all the time.
most of them flame from start to finish in some broken english that is not even funny anymore, no matter if they win or lose.
95% of them are of course orc as well, and are very impressive blademaster users.

i know the game is dead for a long time, but still it is so sad to play some games online. do i just have a lot of bad luck or do you guys face similiar situations in ladder games.

for the record i dont have anything against russians per se, but my personel experience with them in the battle.net makes me think the whole country is one fucked up place with retarted people with an average iq of 60.

Dont you count russian players as wc3 players or what is your problem? The fact is that russia has the largest amount of wc3 players in europe and germany has probably 2nd largest amount.

And what do you mean with "i know the game is dead for a long time" ? new season of Wc3l was announced, ngl 3v3 finals were just played, Global Challenge Chendu was held 2 weeks ago and warcraft 3 was in the game list, wcg has wc3 and it will have it for atleast next few years, there are atleast 7 pro gaming teams for wc3 and plenty of semi-pro teams, amateur scene is lively, IEST 2009 was announced, World eSports Masters event is probably going to be held this year, there was pro ladder season in battle.net this year and you call wc3 dead for a long time?

almost all my oponents seem to be from russia, and they talk shit in broken english every game. i am from the oldschool, and back in the days whe had these kind of people too but not nearly as bad as it seems now.
funny enough most of them where from russia as well but you had one of these clowns every 20 games or so instead of 9 out of 10 games.

ofc the game is not 100% dead but if you really think wc3 is an up and coming game its time to wake up, it is dying for some years now and the orc / blade situation is ofc not helping either.

i dont know how long you have been in the szene but like 3 years ago ( maybe even longer by now? time flys by^^) you had top games from top players every day and tournaments where highly anticipated.
every race had at least 5 really really good players at all time and it was a nice time to play and follow the game.
compared to today its a joke in my humble opinion, and the battle.net/russian situation seems to be a decent metapher for this.

Well, ive never gotten rude opponents in bnet animore. Lots of my opponents are rus, but well, they rent bad mannered or whiners. And i get more germans in war3 as opponents, and they usually whine :D

prolly most of our wc3 gamers are kids about 13-15 years old w/o any manners and adequacy... u should just ignore them , thats all :)

cmon its obvious that patch and patchabusers like naama killed the game, every scene except german, french(?) and russian (?) is dead (i think this was the last year for polish scene, not that much lans compared to previous years, and imo last wcg), whats more some countries didn't even have wc3 wcg :D and naama stop talking bs because finnish scene is dead like hell because the game doesn't bring fun anymore and nobody wants to play it

There are still about 20-40 active finnish wc3 players and surprise surprise they all hate dota

but do the international events have anything to do with u? I mean wc3 are mainly national scenes and this is why warcraft was so enjoyable (elf was considered as imba but it's nothing compared to orcs) because u could attend lans and so on, and now ppl find it pointless to train/play because the game became imbalanced and boring, everybody knows they'll get owned by orc, everybody knows each other's strategy in the first second of the game, and it's all because of the patch

I didnt give in for them. Its true that wc3 is not same than it was 2-3 years ago BUT it is still far from dead as you said.

Acutally I think UDisweak got some point and topic opener too :) I play Undead since 2004 when I started wc3 gaming, and with break of 3 years I didn't changed race aswell. Why I told this, because always you could win every matchup if you are trained enough, but now it seems pointless. Orc is almost unbeatable, no matter how I trained vs it, Humans are laming with towers 24/7, elves too with 5 AP's in each base. Undeads somehow dissapeared from scene. It's not enjoyable to play retarded games every ladder game, and if you don;t have good partner to play at GGC, you are screwed.

And Naama, I understand your view, and I agree with wc3 snece isn't dying, but it's more dying then recovering. That is because scene have not new players, new talents. All your events are played beetwen few players : Moon,Fly,TH000,Focus,Remind and Grubby,Sky and TeD. Also when you look few replays, you understand that they rarely change anything in theire play-style. So, ofc it's boring to watch all that reps again cuz even it's other event, it's deja-vu :)

4 years in back, you got a lot of players on competitive level. Also in every race there was at least 6,7 gosu players, and at least 5 more who are interesting to watch (I mean, teams in wc3l from 6th to 12th place).

Have you noticed that lately orcs have done different strategies, for example Fly plays Beastmaster 1st versus human in mv ( he won sky with it) and he uses far seer really much versus human and Lyn used FS + DR versus th000 few weeks ago at the Global Challenge Chendu event and grubby used fs twice verus infi there. Also orcs have done different strategies in this new league called Shadowleague and the new wc3l season has 2 new maps; amazonia and plunder isle 2.0 and I am 100% sure that we will see really interesting strategies in those maps

lol they do different strats in shadowleague because they won't get any money from it :D (i may be wrong) fly plays bm first VERY rarely, yes it's true he uses fs but still little, and lyn used fs dr only once and in the first game of the bo3 he had to be sure that he'll be 1-0 and abused ofc bm, and grubby also uses fs from time to time but surprisingly not vs ud :)), cmon this game won't have any new strats cause there's no patch that would change anything in items,skills,units,creepspots

Actually, how many games do you see without BM? Ofc they will do FS sometimes because human expect BM, but number of games without BM is similar to games without DK or DH.

The game is still being played. You can argue there's no new talented player arising, there's no innovation or fewer tournaments.You can argue the game is still imbalanced, and no significant patches for so long. Maybe that means it's dead for many people but it's still being played.

Yeah, I hate most of the games I find at bnet because some of them are lame strategies (so its boring even if you win) and some of them are clear maphackers, (which isnt a real game, you know, if the guy knows what are you up to). I don't think it's an exclusive of russian players but sucks anyway.

I haven't played in a while but we made a habit out of claiming to be russian hackers and flaming in style. It's true that most people on Bnet are Russians, but don't underestimate the power of internet fads like )))))) or "me rus nice base xD"

at least russians have limited english, but germans suck the most, they play like 24/7 and they dare to flame anyone. imo german nazineds should be killed.

You know what's the problems about rus players? And I totally agree it's annoying.

1. How many speak rus? I do, I'm not kidding.
2. Greatness or dumbness, choose one. I find it disrespectful to want to speak in your own language. Luckily I do both English and Rus, though I don't wanna speak in Rus simply cause I don't feel obliged to speak in their language when they won't learn to speak 1 god damn language.
3. Blank Blank Blank Blank! Sometimes when In bnet I feel like flamming someone when they start typing in their rus that appears as blank chat.

I also dont like the lots of Ger speaking there, although I happen to know Deutsch but at least you dont see blank when they talk. The blank talk is pissing me off. I gotta use a replay parser to see the cyrlic what crap these rus say...
