micro or macro?

What one is your stronger side? microing units in battle or macroing to get units out in time (lets say getting out a lich just as T3 finishes, getting a graveyard to finish as T2 is done ETC).

NOTE: NEITHER APPLY FOR ORC PLAYERS. they only have 1 strat, being Bm sh raiders sw kodo.

small army micro
macro
big army micro

in that order.

And I approve of this anti-orc message.

yeah
small army micro, macro, big army micro.

Also when I play wc3 (not everyday :D)

I almost never lose for having worse micro than my opponent, but by either macro or race(orcorc) or HU TR :P

And I approve of this anti-orc message.

same for me (i play ud so i lose to orcs). today i actualy lost cuz of worse micro. Game must have glitched cuz an orc cant have 320 apm :P

I like to think of micro as a last resort. I mean you need to micro anyway to stay in the game, like saving your heroes, pulling off some surrounds etc... But sneak expands, good timing, creepjacks, battle position and most importantly surprise will always give you a bigger advantage than micro.
Thruth is most of the people on B.net or Garena have a decent micro but they always make fatal mistakes:
1.being so prepared for the cookie-cutter stuff that they can't handle anything else
2.not enough scouting
3.thinking they have a strong enough army to fight wherever regardless of any basic battle positionning
4.using TP only when a hero is dark red (including if the hero is the only one left)
and then randomly:
-humans not defending their base enough while fastexpanding
-Orc abusing the BM so much they think he's unbreakable
-NE thinking it's safe to tech straight to T3 with one archer
-UD being so affraid that they basecamp all game long letting you expand all over the map...

Die in hell trolly wolly

Used to be micro...Now it's not due to inactivity.
So here it goes: Macro, small army micro, big army micro.
I guess it also depends on the structure of your army a lot,not just size.

Overall, scouting is by far the most important thing in this game imo.

This is soooo true LOL.

Although just on our amateur level, and it's all due to most people trying to copy thus thinking they are pros.

I think my micro is actually really good, if I lose a game it's usually down to macro or just general dribble.

And yeah I agree Cheebah people don't really use the early scouting to full advantage, it seems that people send a wisp or whatever just for the sakes of it.

Ppl send the wisp just for the heck of it-true.
But cheebah was talking about overall scouting, not just early scouting.

Cheebah rly layed it out perfectly. He virtually descrebed 90% of bnet players in just a couple of sentences

Cheebah described it just perfectly...
My micro sucked,my macro also...XDDDD
I always thought about myself that Im better at understanding and following the game itself rather than playing it...

1n1 micro ,2n2 macro!

Yeah true, overall scouting is just as important!

?? I agree that orc players use same _unitmix_ in 80% of their games but that doesnt mean that orc players dont need to worry about their micro or macro
