Maybe this is old news but

I just wanted to add to the rumor mill. I saw this on Losemann's blog which was linked from Mercy's blog which was posted in the worst manager ever thread!

http://www.losemann.asia/?p=311#comments

I found it quite interesting to read. Would be interesting to see the rise of MYM again, I suppose.

Also, this is what the IRC channel's motd is.
13:50 topic www.myMYM.com - Daily Esport News The MYM teams are currently respawning in hell - See you in the next life.

What will they do without Moon, Grubby and most of all money?

Moon and Soccer wont ever return, since they know that MYM is a joke compared to We Made FOX.
Nubby on the other hand I could imagine to be naive enough, to join those bunch of liers yet another time, since he always loved how they licked his balls with mass promotions and merchandise. Plus his bitch needs a job afterall writing boring articles, which only Nubby and herself seem to enjoy.

Lineup could be:

Nubby
Ciara
Happy
ThomasG

Do you think they could even gander a line up that large? I'm sure that EG is paying Grubby and crew well as well... I mean I think that if anything, mYm would settle for a talent squad to start. They definitely would have to start with something budget. If they went bankrupt, there obviously was a problem somewhere between the money coming in via sponsors and the money going out. Do you even think they can get sponsored again? They are running on a name alone.

And MYM is a very good name in esports.

So is eSu, eSports united, yet since 2003 they never made it to the top again. The investors/money have left the building, so is the glory

I'm not denying that. They had a really stable name, but obviously there was some loose end either on the sponsor's side or on the faculty side, and more than likely it was on MYM's side of promising too much payout when they weren't getting enough income. The point is whether or not MYM can get sponsors again after claiming bankruptcy. Since they are officially out of cash, does this mean they can even get a decent squad?

Reading the source helps, you know? It's new people using an old name.

well, mym should be known for really fucking up esports and only that.. nothing else, if kaltlicht is actually retarded enough( i guess so) to start a co-operation with mym i hope they'll be on the same plane as grubby when he crashes :)

there's a fucking reason why all the big buisness leaders are old sad fucks and not 20 years old shitkids without pupichhair

aah and yeah there are expections, the fnatic manager is one of them imo, but i recall him saying that his mother helps him a lot in the buisness section etc, i guess kaltlicht should get his mother to run the company for him, im 100% sure she'd do a better job :)

Not everyone is new... if this is a cooperation, then some old people are still there. For example... The1Crow. Just because there is a new CEO doesn't mean they are kicking everyone else out.

That's not what I meant. The whole organization behind MYM, their debts, the management that screwed up... those are gone. If Wicked takes over they pay them some for the brand name and the website, that's it.

The1Crow was a great reporter

loool the funniest site I've ever watch

They lose their debts yeah... they claimed bankruptcy. But if The1Crow is active that means they aren't exterminating everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept some of the higherups. It's still going to have to go through a lot of legal processes anyways. We'll see. Also, you can't really isolate it to the management screwing up. For all you know it could have just been the investors not paying the money. Then what do you do? Nothing really, naturally they got in a hole. It could have been overpayment or it could have been investment problems. Can't isolate it to a management alone. Also, I highly doubt Wicked has the money to buy MYM even if it is just a subsidiary. The fact that they think they could bring it back means that they have enough interest to do so. It's most likely a joint operation.

Taking over a news writer doesn't include the management. It's just a brand name and a website. Those things don't cost much, especially when both went downhill because the management screwed up. And yes, they did screw up, the had no business plan, no ROI, no nothing. Simple as that.

Saying all of MYM's management screwed up is a pretty blanket statement. The way they treated ESNation or w/e the parent company was made The1Crow's duty seem a lot more than just a news writer / editor. And lack of all the components mentioned should really only be attributed to certain people who are in charge of those sectors of the company, not the full on management. And unless you know the pretenses in which they were financially involved, you can't even say it was fully their fault.

Do you even read or understand my posts? The team managers and news writers just rode the wave and were happy they could do their hobby with some support. The owners of MYM aka the management were the ones that screwed up, and screwed up they did obviously. See ROI etc.
I don't see TheCrow being involved in any money decisions.

From his MYM Profile you can see some of his positions
">> Full time working for ESNation A/S as International Content Supervisor
>> Producer and founder of ESNation TV
>> Editor in Chief for myMYM"
I'm sure he could have had some small money decisions. And I know the team managers rode the wave, but you don't get what I'm saying either. It doesn't always have to be the managers. It could be the sponsors. If stopped payment, then what do you do? Sure take it to court, but it's like those cases where you get fined take them to court, and the cost of being in court is more than the fine itself, so they just waive the fee. Investors held a huge stake in MYM, if they were a loose end then a clear answer presents itself.

None of the positions you mentioned involves management ;)
And the reason why the management are obviously to blame is because as I said they had no ROI. They took the investors money, wasted it on huge coverage and teams and salaries and didn't get anything in return. The sponsors and merchandise money was a drop in the bucket.
Look at Sk how it's done. A sponsor leaves, they fire half of their players. They get a new sponsor and carefully select few new players.

Well I sorta want to know what type of financial statistics they were providing throughout their stay in E-Sports, and their rebirth in E-Sports. I do notice what you mean by the return and how SK handles it but wasn't MYM for a time privately invested in by a millionaire? What type of return could this guy get anyways. I doubt revenue is really that sufficient for the actual parent companies in this case anyways. Anyways, they are back, we'll see how things go. As for the management, it's going to see who does what.

i would to see MYM pay SocceR back that $15.000 or whatever they owe
