Well, imho, that's a little different, because HoT was technically with no possibility to qualify, as opposed to ToD for eg. Also the further into the competition, the bigger is the impact of a reset vs a mass defwin onward. When close to the end, you get such thing happening like people in the race getting eliminated and other that were eliminated getting back in the race.

Maybe the best thing to do at any point is to choose the option that has the less impact out of the 2. Or instead of resting using a prediction system based on avg points for eg. to settle the last matches, as Frozgard said.

The best solution to prevent this is giving a small win bonus for each map won,like 10 or 20 euros. That way people stay motivated till the end. They might even reduce the grand final price money for that because obviously the top8 already cashed in during the online season.

He didn't complained bach then, because there was no point in as he wasn't affected.
Now that he must fear to meet skilled players on offline finals and not his orc buddys from last tournament he starts to panic and goes to his last friends online aka wcreplays.com.

Grubby has a good point. It made sense to erase all ToD's score because he only played 30% of the season. It was the easy solution anyway.

Winners played maybe 70% of the season, so it started getting quite unfair to erase all the results. This affected many people's results, including Grubby.

HoT played 95% of the season, which means 21 out of 23 players had already played HoT. It seems ridiculous to annul everything when the season is 95% done. Giving def win to the last two opponents seems the better solution compared to the latter.

Not many players bother to speak up, and neither did they contribute as much to the community as Grubby did.
