Blizzard wont let Nightend play Regional Finals
Blizzard wont let Nightend play regional finals because of his Romanian heritage. Insider state that Grubby had a chat with Blizzard CEO to eliminate this potential Grubby-Killer.
Statement from Nightend :
"I just want to emphasize on the dissapointment I've had from these events. I've worked hard and earned my place in the tournament but it seems that is not enough. It looks like you have to be born in a special or priviledged country to be able to participate in those kind of events. I strongly think that the only faulty legal part is on Blizzard's side because as a member of the EU my country has the same legal rights as those of the other guys participating in the event and we do have eSport recognition here in Romania as well as eSport tournaments (WCG, SEC, KODE5 to name a few).
Let's say Blizzard didn't do a recheck on my country or not a check at all because there haven't been any participants from my country to their tournaments before or even if my country is indeed not eligeble then why even send the invite, ask and receive my contact information for the flight and delay me so much with a half-answer?"

It's so unfair that Bulgarians are treated differently than all other people. They are just like everyone else, well not exactly but almost. I think through this action, Blizzard is once more brandmarked as a racist company. They also designed orcs to be more powerful than all other races.

did you guys see nightend vs grubby from last sunday, nightend was really awesome! first game he stole grubbys army with banshees and the next game he saved his dk like a 23423524 times with death packt it was awesome. you really have to see the game to know how amazing it was.

Because the players so care if he doesn't go. Honestly the players have nothing to do with this. It is something NightEnd has to deal with Blizzard, convince or something. The players already have their goals set and that is to win BlizzCon finals. Things like this happen here and then but it doesn't stop the others. As if Lyn is really going to say screw my Champion title if NightEnd doesn't play

I hate to rain on the 'we hate Blizzard' parade but this is probably not their fault. This has happened before, many times, with WoW tournaments (yeahyeahroflwow etc). It's to do with gambling laws in the countries involved usually - ie. online gaming for money is considered illegal gambling. I don't know the ins-and-outs of this particular case, but my bet is that it's related to what i just said. This actually affected SK's WoW team last year because their mage is from Croatia and wasn't allowed to attend Blizzcon or WWI (i forget which one).

The tournament rules stated which countries are allowed to participate and which are not. The Blizzard lawyers checked the legal situation in all possible countries and found some potential legal issues within the Romanian laws. Thus Romania got excluded from the Battle.net tournament from the very beginning.
