Mass can be a good way to win a game, altough I think it's quite sad to play against it. I don't see any skill in mass really and I like to play with a variety of units. For those who just wishes to win and gain stats I say sure, go for it, but for us who wants to play more serious and with a different set of skills I think the "oldschool" way of playing is great. =)

or you get a pleasure from getting better at something. and also a pleasure from winning, I know ive heard of it somewhere

well, mass isnt so good, its hard to micro in huge masses, better mix units.

the "oldschool way of playing" is playing retarded, playing crappy strats that dont make any sense and to not utilize units to their full extend...and it is to mass any unit :D

Why? Mass hunts and POTM frequently used and requires micro, timing and positioning to win.

I don't see how e.g. bears and dryads require more skills.
In the end it's the players that win, if you lose to a guy massing grunts in your third game, you might as well give up.
