Wait, what the fuck ? Where is World of Warcraft now ?

- Nowhere because we're all watching Sky vs Grubby final
- Nowhere because the stream is only about WC3
- Nowhere because the best shoutcasters are on WC3
- Nowhere because I don't even know if World of Warcraft made it to this tournament.

So, some heavy marketing bullshit from the ESL, doing a Warcraft 3 world tour and claiming they picked WoW to get some press coverage and buzz on the forums.

The continental final still had Warcraft 3 games, but I think those where the last ones that will host wc3.

na they haved stop in china and korea and they couldnt leave out wc3, beacuse it so big in china. But the never said the gonna have it for the finals. There was only CS and WoW which is sad but true. Same was it with WSVG, the had a stop i china and the had wc3 there too. and wsvg had not any wc3 on that trip.

Well, WC3 has other tournaments like PGL/WC3L/IEF/NGL etc. etc. Although i like WoW, the fact is that there is ONLY EM for WoW and nothing else. WC3 is a much better eports game and it seems that tournament organisers think so too.

This is almost true. I don't think Blizzard is paying ESL to use WoW. But if ESL had any doubts, i'm sure Blizzard wouldn't hesitate to help them make up their mind.

I can see the top tier wowppl combine more proffessions, first levling mining/blacksmithing to get the extra gemslots. Then dropping it and starting on enchanting/jewelcrafting to get multiple selfbenefits from professions

Actually you cant maintain the extra gem slots if you're blacksmithing is below 400. So when you unlearn blacksmithing the slot becomes inactive. Blizzard is not dumb :)

On topic : IMO the new changes to WC3L and hundreds of invite only tournaments are killing warcraft 3 more than anything else. They need to come up with a lot more qualifier tournaments and start giving wildcards to unknown players. Otherwise more tourneys will start to adopt WOW due to the fanbase

if u d actualy have any profession over 400 u d know that profession specific benefits require 400 skill to maintain them

such as ring enchants: they clearly state requires 400 skill in enchanting

Actually, looking at the current state of wc3 scene (SK , mTw etc. dropping their soloists, mym disbanding totally) the state of warcraft 3 has never looked worse. Clearly, it will not survive the onslaught when SC2 comes in.
