Hi, I've seen games where the Human's Staff of Sanctuary's healing was stopped and the staffed unit was freed. I know it can be stopped by spells like Devour Magic but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there a way where the Human player can stop it voluntarily (like in cases where a staffed hero is about to be focus-fired on and the player wants to free his hero and run him back)?

Just make sure to have enough towers around him.

Priest Dispel actually works but I think (and I may be mistaken here), I've seen heroes and units come out of their healing "trance" without the use of spells.

destroy your castle

You can't stop health by destroying castle or staffing (staff of teleportation) on unit.
So, only 4 ways: AM Mass Teleport, Heal, Dispel, use staff of sanctuary again (you have a chance, that unit will be staffed to safe zone -- inside the base)

You could powerbuild some farms around him, you could even do this before you use the staff of sanctuary.
or make him invisible?
Maybe it works with a normal town portal too?
would it be possible if it was a hero to give him a healt potion and use it so he gets out of the "stasis"mode faster?

hmm you cant cast magic on that hero,neither you cant heal him with potion,he cant move till he is fully healed,you can only dispel that,or enemy do it for ya!

You can heal him... Priest heal\paladin heal etc works fine.

afaik you can use staff of teleportation to cancel it.

@Dasdingoman: Thanks, I didn't know that. But how come sometimes I see a Knight or Dragonhawk break out of stasis? Does double-staffing cancel the first stasis? Man, this is really bugging me out... O_O I could have sworn there's a ToD replay of one of his staffed units, post-staff, returning to a battle minus full health.
