yeah, former wc3 pros seem to do good at Poker, davin recently won 200k in an online tour. I think i should quickly get pro in wc3, retire and earn mass money in poker :D

those are just a tiny fraction of people who moved from wc3 to try poker. most of them don't make profit at all, you just never hear about them.

people need to stop thinking that if you're good at wc3, then you'll somehow automatically be better than most people at poker too. the two games are completely different

Demidov started as 2nd in chips and is the dominating chipleader now.

He also qualified for the final table at the WSOP Europe Main Event. If he manages to win both events, he'd get nearly $20 million. It would truly be an awe inspiring feat for the rest of us lesser poker players :D Best of luck Soul!

WSOP Europe was played already, he finished 3rd after being the chipleader for quite some time. Still a great, great achievement to be on both FTs.

I don't get the hype about poker. Even though there's some skill involved it's also a huge portion of luck. And I wonder where all the money comes from. Everybody is talking like "I made 1k this month from poker lol" and random people winning random tournaments in the millions. Why do these people suddenly earn more than soccer players... and where are the millions of people that give some thousand people all their money in online poker games...

If all I hear about poker is true then everybody is winning in Poker, no one can lose money.

Depends how professional you are, most 'pro's' know they will win it back anyway. I know alot of people who lost some alot ;). But your right about people who lose all their income, jobs etc.....you never hear them and we all know they are there.

The HU will be played tonight and Soul is in it. He is already guaranteed around $6 Million for 2nd place and the chipstacks are pretty even.
