worst WCG after 2004

This is the worst WCG after 2004.So many random players and so few top players.

China fanboy angry that those randoms took out his idols.

wcg 04 was like the best wcg ever btw. with some of the greatest games of all time (grubby-shortround, madfrog-crimson etc.), but yeah nvm.

Quote "China fanboy angry that those randoms took out his idols."

LOL grubby is lucky that sky's eliminated by CHINESE players in qualifier.

it's funny how almost all the chinese have the same aptitude.
Pure nationalism,brainwashed communists.
If you are so proud about your players, your locations etc etc, like "chinese > all" .why do you even bother about reading an EU based website? Why europe is so full of chinese immigrants? what about coherence?
that just make me sad.
if YOU think your country is fkcn imba, your the best etc etc, stay in your poor dictature country and stop flaming on everything that is not chinese.

Rofl Sure, didn't Grubby beat Sky last time? Sky in this shape is not able to beat Grubby. But I hope he will comeback. I love to see his games!

hey mr nationalist, what happened to your chinese ubermensch today? Grubby 2-0Sky?
Grubby still lucky?
"ofc"

WorldlesS, it was in EM Seoul

True he has a Sky problem but thats not the point, the point is many other good players were taken out in the tournment. There were as many Top players in this WCG as the last two, 3 from each of Korea and China. They just got eliminated early on and apart from Infi, the rest went out not because of very tough groups. So a better WCG in my opinion. Better than a stereotypical chinese tour with the same players over and over again. This was quite refreshing.

Also before I get 10,000 flames, nothing against the Chinese. I wouldnt mind seeing Ted or Like win this tourney nor do I think the chinese tourneys are bad, they are the ones which drive warcraft now. But I do think that there need to be more fresh blood in these tourneys, qualifiers and such to make them more fun.

No one likes to see tours with the same players over and over again, but the organisations have to invite big names to attract sponsors and fans. You think where the money come from.
Without the tons of Chinese tours to attract cashcows training hard, wc3 might have already dead.

Thats the reason why I said they are driving WC. But it has become stale. I mean how many times do I need to see a Lyn versus Moon final to be tired of it. Not to mention the invitationals make the skill gap too much to overcome.
Even Chinese tourneys benefit from a reasonably similar system with qualifiers for the Chinese for almost every tourney. So many good players burst onto the scene after years of Sky, Fly and Xiaot dominance. A similar thing for the rest of the world would be nice as well. How else can we see Bonecracker and Lucifron come out kicking.

To hold a tournament like WCG with many regional qualifiers, it cost millions of dollars. I don't think WCG can create profit. Without a big company like Samsung, it's impossible to hold such a tournaments. And I don't think the biggest Chinese state-owned companies (bank of china, china oil etc) give a shit on esports.

Im not sure. Without profit ESWC and WCG shouldnt really survive. Another indicator is the expansion of smaller competitions like EM to a bigger level indicate there is something to be made, otherwise they shouldnt really exist. Im assuming something like regions buying spots and then making their own profit local circuit but thats just a guess.
But you are right, they need a big sponsor and support company either way. And not sure about the state owned companies but others are realizing the level of esports now, pepsi sponsored WE, and korea has tons of companies going for esports.

WCG not making profit is like saying advertisement costs money.
You put money in at first, but you can't measure how much it brings you afterwards.

LOL Funplayer, you think I don't understand this? OFC they can benefit in the long run, otherwise the whole WCG thing is pointless for Samsung.
I was just saying WCG can not directly generate profit and no Chinese company can/willing to hold such a big tournament.

You sounded like WCG is doomed in the long run because it doesn't generate money and all ;)

Seriously, you need your brain checked.

When did I say Chinese>all or China imba? As I replied in another topic, Korea is the best wc3 nation.

Btw, you are French. No need to argue with you anymore.

Got Rice ? AHAAHAHA

zomg those chinese haters are so boring, just go chase grubby plz :/

word

no wcg have been "boring" really. grubby vs moon now, Sky vs Creo, Grubby vs zacard. all final games have been awesome.

Like when grubby went pitlord and zacard buy a alchemist,
Or Sky vs Creo on Twisted. The game was so close it was scarry.

but the best wcg final games was played by grubby and creo :) (ahh sweet 4K times :))
