I'm not sure what to think of it to be honest, it seems cheating, to have always pressed alt for so many years and now to have it always on is a little weird.

How about you guys? What do you think of this change? I feel like I'm cheating enabling it!

im so used to pressing alt i even press it when playing starcraft even tho that does nothing there... the bars always on seems so cluttered on the screen to me but after reviewing some of my replays i miss some good kills on low hp unit because i probably didnt hit alt at that time

i think its fucking bullshit i tried one game and it was fucking uncofortable, maybe i need more time to get used to but i still think its not for me ;D i prefer to play without it

Well it's not like with this feature turned on a lot of noob players are magically going to get good micro. You don't get good micro without practicing a lot and the difference this feature makes will be small in my opinion.
Maybe hunting down or focusing low health units will be a bit more obvious to some players now but that's about it.

I think its really good, it gives u a better overview of the battle in general and on which units to move where or attack what etc. I cant say it DRASTICALLY improves my game but sure, it helps and is a nice feature. If u dont like it, dont use it ; )

I never pressed alt in my 5 years of WC3 Life. I think especially in air fights you lose some overview but all in all it's just a question of what you prefer. There are no advantages otherwise it would be used by progamers I think.

I think you have a better overview that way....pushing alt all the time is really annoying when you need to push some hotkeys far away from the alt-button.

ive configured my hotkeys so they arent far away... i dont like perma healthbar, maybe i just need time to get used to it but i dont need it

agree i don't understand why blizzard can't make a function that you ignore everything single person before your laddergame starts, would be so mucheasyer than heaving to ignore names as1iIi.2LIjed0rjsow. or whatever which you misspell 6 times before you can ignore them since they cry "hi mh" after 1 backstab, such an easy function, yet it never came, only god knows why.

yepp agree this function is really in the need. too bad disrespect and intolerance are so high nowadays. it seems that sportsmanship is gonna be flamed and is more of a weakness than something to be proud of.

i personally dont flame so much... but sometimes they just deserve it :D they think they pwn me but then they find my 2 towered up expos and cry of imbalance "tower noob" such a great moment ;D "gg talon noob"

I dont like it too much, only time I used the perma bars was when I was making a video, and even then I only used it to show one teams bars (you can do that without it too, [ and ] by default for those who may not have known). It gets too messy but if it keeps a unit alive every now and then for some people, I dont mind if my opponents use it.

pernament hp bar is okay , but when I asked if I can enable 3rd party program in order to bid keys , the blizzard dude told me that this was considered as hack and I might get banned !

That probably has to do more with Blizzards policy regarding 3rd party apps than the actual function of the app.

but the ladder is full of map/disc hackers which noone bans and e.g I have Krait and use drivers for it and it allows me to change my keys (e.g left button to become right button etc.) so thats 3rd party program aswell so I can get banned for that too -_____-

I'll just echo what everyone else seems to have said: i can't get used to it at all. I still find myself spamming alt in battles when i have it turned on, so i just turned it off and stuck to what i know. I don't think it's a bad feature, it just isn't for me.

It doesnt bother me and i don't think it's cheating either. You can always turn it off if you dont like it.

The new hp functon is only good to those players that spam the alt button non-stop thru out the game, by enabling the function it allows them to play the game with a little more comfort as they wont have to continually press it. Overall it aint really cheating enabling it, like some1 above said it can be weird playing with it on, blizzard probably did this to allow players the option or having it on all the time or manually pressing the alt key.

Someone should make a thumb up / thumb down poll to see if the majority of the players switched to permabars. I'd do it, but I'm afraid to get thumbed up too much ;)

i m having tons of problems because i keep pressinf alt key and i don tse shit and before i realize what s going on it passes a lot of time :P
guess all those years basicly keeping my thumb on alt has taken it s toll
(diablo + warcraft = perma alt :P)
but i hope i ll get used to not pressing it after a cupple of months because i realy think once u get used to perma health bars it s an advantage

I have HP-500 Laptop 3 years now.
really disappointed.. i know it's 3 years but his 99% dead.
The battery holds 5-10 minutes when the internet button is on.
and 15-20 when it's off.

Cant call someone who uses a game option a NOOB.. Its allowed so its part of the game.. What if they remove Alt? and u have to point every unit to see it's HP?? Would that be Pro-er? -_-"
