The Warcraft III 2008 open ladder has now ended. We will be inviting the top players from each regional ladder to compete in the invitational ladder. Please refer to the FAQ and Rules pages for information and guidelines about this year's competition. Good luck!

typical blizzard getting screwed over by there own lazyness and they probably have to catch a certain date where a event has to to take place and they need to have there players so all of a sudden there is a 1 week open ladder lol and only a 18 days pro ladder, nice if you're on holidays in those 18 days and miss 8 or 10 days, can play 8 days... :D what a horrible planning honestly, couldnt get any worse

Anyone in our great forum who made it to the pro-ladder?

Erh im top 40 so i should be quite sure, but on vacation for most of the pro ladder anyways.. Never thought it would be such a short time really.. Quite bad decision O_O ( both for the pro ladder but especially for the open ladder, theres quite many people in top 100 who wouldnt be there in 1 month ).

how many players do they invite from the open ladder?

Doesn't Blizzard invite the well known persons in Warcraft 3 like RotterdaM to the invitational ladder too when they not qualified?

they probably do but that doesnt change the fact it wouldnt matter for me since i won't be able to play for over 50% of the pro ladder time, and since the average amount of games is between 20 and 30 to reach the top at pro ladder that would mean i gotta play 45 or 50 ( and win 95% of them ;D probably the most impossible part. ) games a day for 8 days to have any chance to reach top 8, aka won't have any use since you will never ever possibly reach it, just stupid

The top 50 or top 75 of last ladder season are invited anyway so....everything should be fine

(except for Frozen LOL!)

As far as i know only top 25 from the old ladder is reinvited, 25 other invites based on player performances, and then top 100 on the current open ladder = 150 players.

how do they decide on player performance?

where you can check top 25 from old ladder ? i forgot name of my acc xD

I wouldnt know about the player performance thing ( neither do i know how to check the old top 25 ), I guess some players are safe to be there, but I'm not to make a top 25 of european warcraft players, so its quite a risk just hoping to be there. Then again, noone knew we would have such a short time to make it to the top 100.

I was in top40 all the time.. and then I decided to take some break, nice that I had luck and I'm still in top100 :D

This is beyond ridiculous.. Not announcing anything until it's too late.. I was busy the last few days, but I would still have made it if I knew I had to get some games in.. Not only that, it's ridiculous to add top 100 after such a short time, the only thing it shows is who played the most games with this ell since top 100 = only lvl 28..
