I've read a lot that undead casters should be buff to make them "usable" and that kind of stuff...but man....there's that horrible lame technique slanged-named "Necrowagon"....were the UND got CL and DL plus some fiends and obiously necro + wagons...and mass skellies that kill all Ur army...

Yes, Im an elf...and I suffer from this techinique like evrey 1/3 games vs und....in some periods of time its 2/3... I know there must be a really easy counter because I've never ever seen this at high levels, no to mention pros...so...anyone of U knows the counter...and pls gueys, don't say dryads abolish because those skellies eat dryads like hell...does mass wisp deto really stop this?

mass dryads & wisps to dispell all those skels,just need to beware of the wagon,panda is useful in this situation

Chims... also you can scout it and it takes long, so you can mass expo, get chims.

On Tavernmaps, Panda solves.

I think the creator of the thread is right when he asks why no one on professional level every uses it. Thing is of course you can't win a bo3 with playing this tactic 3 times but you can use it one time (one the map it works best). I don't think you would win Moon or Soju with that but maybe someone who's not that experienced.

Some counters would be: dr silence necros or as ud silence wisps. Until he gets his wagons and stuff you should have mapcontrole which means you can expand one or even two times. Scouting is very important against this tactic. And the only thing that makes this tactic strong is when enemies fail scouting.

Easy.

Just /ignore those skellets and pick of casters.

F.e. with Panda lvl3 + DH and Dyrads.

Some Fairy dragons may help in some situations.

No casters = no more skellets. Detonate the summons to complete your epic win.

Vs Master-Banshees I prefer to go DR/Silence 3rd.
Buts that`s just one of the countless ways to counter the senseless Undead-Casters.

Feary Dragons/Hippo riders/Wisps.

i d definetly suggest mass feary dragons + mass wisp or something like that

also u should try to dispatch those necros asap
also i d like to add that necrowagon is by far a bad strategie

the fact u don t see it much in progames is because pros only use strats that they practice 5h a day evry day and they just don t wanna practice this kind of surprise tactics they rather mass gargs all day long

but u can easiliy win with this strategy so u having problems with it is nothing wierd
i am sure a lot of elves have problems countering this

The main thing you have to pay attention to is scouting. If you know early enough that he's using this strat, switch to the right units, in this case it's bears and fairy dragons. dryad are not helpful since they can only dispell one unit at one time and are very vurnable to meatwagons. bears deliver a good meatshield and combined with fairy dragons and wisps (which you should build a lot of) u can suck out the mana of the necros or destroy their skeletons respectively. If you know that he's gonna push, meet him outside his base or anywhere on his way to your base. Try to pick off some weagons or necros and retreat, do this a few times since this delays his attack and costs him mana and supply. Just rejuvinate your dh for example and go for a meatwagon while your panda and the rest attack the other ones. With staff and heal you shouldn't lose too many units since there are no skeletons nearby. ONLY if he releases the corpses from the wagons but in this case, he has no skeletons anymore for the real fight or he has to refill them, which, again, takes a very long time. Hope this works for you ^_^

You can use your dryad's dispell manually. You know? Your wisps, too, can do more than build buildings and die in a fancy looking explosion, they can actually dispell skeletons!

All of you who think that wisp actually work have never played against Necrowagon (actually i know it as Wagonmancer xD, but however). The UD has basically his necros on autocast. wagons just shooting and the waves of skellies on attack move. So hi is in fact playing dota with 2 heroes and is just sniping your wisps. To be hones i have always played it against DK/Lich, but against a CL/DL it would be a nightmare to detonate those wisps.

Dryads..... well they might work, but they just cant keep up with the waves of summons. A dryad can dispell 4 skellies with full mana, but they do not come out with full mana and using the wells would be a waste. On the other hand the UD have a mana statue =\

The best counter is probably .. DR/panda (or pitlord...) + mass air - chims/faeries.. Any ground army just gets crushed!

actualy chims don t work
any decent palyer will just criple them and then they are useless and get destroyed by those caster skelies who actualy deal a nice amount of dmg especialy to a chim

actualy uds have 2 very strong matchups against human and ne
orc are their only weakness

Kinda funny that top undeads never beat top humans or moon/soju in big tournaments if those mu:s are so good for ud

i remeber there was 1 tournament in which ted owned all 3 of chinas tower kings

other then that maybe the problem is that they get trashed by orc before they even get to a good human/ne

Soju is known for years to be an UD killer and why do you think moon never won WCG or ESWC. Because of the extremely hard korean qualifier (for some harder that the actual tour) full of korean UDs
